Why I love Africa...

The BBC is currently soliciting the words of those who have an opinion about Africa in a series they call Why I Love Africa. It is great to read the stories of various men and women on the African Continent speak to why they love the birth place of humanity and civilization.

If you have a deep Love for the home of our Ancestors than you should share it with the world by submitting it through the BBC Web Site.

My sentiments are similar.

I think this survey is indeed deceptive. I say love your country.

Love Ghana, Love Sierra Leone, Love Kenya, etc.

Have you noticed, Africa is the only continent its nationals are encouraged to 'love'?

Africa is a political entity only to those who see it that way.

Those are the people who carved the continent up into 'North', 'West', 'East', and of course 'South' Africa.

Think of 'East', and 'West' Germany, a conquered nation, 'East' and 'West' Berlin

Get it???

Right AND wrong. Since you are being such a stickler in this definition.

The national distinctions on the African continent are largely imposed by a conquering European nation. Clearly, not all. But...

Those name-impositions are/were not illegal.

What is legal is determine by who has the power. Unwanted, yes.

Clearly, you don't have to. And if so, you shouldn't.

I was addressing a political truth. Ooops! There's that truth thing again.

I was not addressing right or wrong, rather what is real.

I believe the constant urging of 'hug' the insult IS an insult.
