Ras, I don't think that we as Africans hate Jews. We really don't like whites, no matter what their religious affiliation is, based upon their deeds. I think that it should the higher calling of our people regardless of their religious affiliation to look out for one another. For example, before africana.com became defunct there was an excellent article about how Ethiopian Jews Black Jews are being openly discrimated against and the Israeli government run by white Jews are doing nothing about it. They are still mainly living in refugee camps and there was a protest about this very issue. White Jews don't even want to live amongst their own blood line relatives because of the color of their skin. Kibbutz are openly refusing to allow their own brethern to live among them.
So when someone of African descent says something negative about a white Jew, then it could be backed up with some facts and experiences.
Now to be honest it has gotten to the point in my opinion that Israel is now mirroring the behavior of the U.S. so much that it has become distasteful and a turn off to those of us who know how the U.S. operates when it comes to people of color.
That's just my point of view on this "Anti-Semitic" charge that white Jews love to put out.

Yssys ~ very well put.. and I understand what you're saying, but aren't some of these things they're saying the same reason Nazi Germany used to justify the hollocaust? I just think we need to be careful when we generalize and stereotype. My college room-mate who later became my best friend is a Jew who grew up poor in Philly... There was even a point of his life where his family and him were homeless. He had a hard life, and his single mother to this day struggles with cancer with no health insurance...

So, please "jews" are not running America.. do not generlize and stereotype. white people would say the same thing about us, if enough of us were in top positions in Corporate America, or if enough of us owned big businesses.. Our number wouldn't even have to be that big; they would have still accused us of "running" their country.

So, hey if there are a few Jews who made it to the top.. I'm happy for them.. And I work towards getting my people there..

And as for the White Jew racism at the Black Jew racism.. as bad as this may sound; It is not uncommon to have tribalism in that part of the world. Even in the all black African countries, there is a lot of racism black against blacks... There is a lot of tribalism in the middle east and African area.. I'm not trying to excuse it, but it is part of the norm out there.. Even some places I've read some of the Black Jews saying they had faced more discrimination when they were in Ethiopia... Again, am not trying to excuse it; but just trying to point out that Tribalism with or without color difference is unfortunetly part of the African/Mid-East clture.. I can mention places like Rwanda, Darfur and even Ethiopia where people have been masacared because of their tribe/race. And these are all black people; but they see each other as different races..

You get emotionally charged when you hear the word "anti-semite" for a reason not clear to me. It makes me wonder why you are so offended by this word.. In my experience people react to words in such a way, when it says something about a part of themselves.

Whether you choose to acknowledge it or deny it, this poisonous hatred of the ages is back. Once believed to be just a European disease, has gone global including America.

This is how holocausts are born. And we cannot avoid the next holocausts for as long as we harbor these hateful feeling in any form or shape

I don't get angry over this anymore so go ahead and call me white.. I've been called "white" "sell out" "uncle tom" many times in my life. I will still reserve my right to be an individual and not follow the "norm"

I can't understand why people always have to question my "blackness" if I have a different opinion than the mass. That is the most racist thing in the world..

White people are treated better every where you go.. This is not unique to Israel. Haven't you heard what happened to Oprah on her first trip to Ethiopia?
She had a white body guard with her; and he was getting all the respect and attenting everywhere they went. They opened and held doors for him, and gave him the royal treatment while they virtually ignored Oprah. They thought she was just a local AFrican. They did not know who she was. They didn't know who the white man was, but that didn't matter. He got all the nice treatment, just because of the color of his skin.

Offcourse this changed when they found out who she was.. I have personally experienced this in AFrica.. Any place that I went to, if there was a white man, they got the first class service before me.. This is the sad truth..

Actually, your question has no premise (e.g. base) since Semite in a made up word.

In fact, Hebrew and Jew are ---also made up words by FW Edwards, who provided them for his friend Amedee Thierry in 1829.

So you see I am not an anti-semetic since the word has no foundation, however I am aware of who these people are and how they inserted themselves into a history that they "bogusly" created and passed along to the world as truth.
