There are probably a few more that I could add if I gave it some more thought, but this is pretty good.
A whole bunch of actors and rappers cuz I grew up in Cali. You see them all the time at Venice Beach, Universal City walk, and the Beverly center. I don't remember them all but I have a few people that are memorable.

I am also somewhat embarrassed that our paths crossed. But, because I'm really gullible on this one....here goes:

Erykah badu (my idol and imaginary sista-girl friend)
she was very nice and beautiful not at all like she looks on tv, not that she looks ugly on tv or nothing but you know-there was a glow about her like she was in love or just really at peace with herself and her life. i met her at the airport. she didn't have no body guards or nothing, she was just with her family, like a regular person going through the airport.

With the advent of baseball in D.C. I have been working my butt off, and I have not been able to surf this site like I had in the past, but I have a day off today.
I have met just about everyone that all others have mentioned...
The coolest would have to be pres. clinton. We had a 20 min convo about jazz.
Other notables: T.S. Monk - he can talk for days about any subject.
Alex Haley - very unassuming...
The Fugees - just before they blew up - they did an impromptu "perfomance" in a park in baltimore Clef & his guitar, Lauren & her "angelic" voice, Praz & his non commercial lyrics, and a turned over trash can for percussion... I wish I had taped it.
Janet J. - significant because I found out the she does have a kid... The person conducting the interview was dating El DeBarge's ex. Janet walks in sees her, they hug, how ya doin" yada yada. Janet says "How's El (DeBarge jr), she replies "He's fine, how's xxx?" Janet paused, looked around uncomfortably and responded with a quick "fine" - nothing else was said... I was the only one who picked up on it.
Craig Hodges - former NBA star who was essentially "blackballed" for taking a pro Black stance on many social issues.
Will Downing - one of the coolest brothers on the planet... he could make just as money as a comedian as he does as a musical artist.
Sonia Sanchez - one of the nicest super intellectuals you will ever meet.
Buju Banton - he explained the difference between a "dread" and a "Rasta".
Peabo Bryson - surprisingly, smokes like a chimney - he only stops to sing.
Shirley Horn - very eccentric. Her home seemed to be designed with no plan in mind - there are rooms that are additions, but they are completely arbitrary in design. Her back yard has a 10 ft fence w/barbed wire at the top - seemed odd to me considering she lived in a good part of the city. She also smokes a great deal.

Yeah - it's really hush hush though. We're trying to keep it quiet. Don't tell anyone.

Kashif - He hadn't been around in a while, he comes walking into the audio room and strikes up a convo about music and audio. We had a good ole time... He had completely changed his look and I had no idea who he was until he walked onto the set as a guest on "Video Soul".
Haile Gerima - Maker of the film "Sankofa". This brother is one of the most powerful speakers that I have ever met. He's very passionate about the art of film making.

On my last trip to England, I accompanied my grandmother to her local seniors club, where she and her friends usually knit. The Queen, I believe was scheduled to visit the area to speak with a few of the representatives of the club. Anyway, I saw a picture of one of the dancers, Tyrone (The Bone) Proctor (see Jody Watley's "Still a Thrill" video) in a newspaper and decided to visit him at the store he worked in. We became friends. Haven't seen him in years.
