It's truly unfortunate that a lot of people have slept on Jon B. He's never released an album that disappointed me, and he consistently delivers some of the best love-making songs of our time. If you play "Before It's Gone" with your lady, you'll definitely hear her hit higher notes. Wink Also play the track "AZ U" on that same album, Eek.

I love her too! Meshell is definitely a senuous sister. Some people might not pick up on the feminist (lesbian) love-making that she describes in her songs, but I do.

Sure, you can find most of the pictures featured in my avatar on the site photographersdirect.com. The problem is (well, for some, this may not be a problem at all) the photographs are copyright protected and cannot be used without permission. Professional photographers who travel the world taking these pictures have posted their very best work on this site for a fee. Other images were found just web surfing.

Awesome! Her album Comfort Woman is really nice too. The only album that I would not recommend getting (unless you're a die-hard Meshell Ndegeocello fan), is Bitter. There are few decent tracks on this album, but many of the songs are really slow. Songs like "Fool of Me" and "Bitter" are mainly about having your heart broken. But she comes back HARD with Comfort Woman and Music Jamia: Dance of the Infidels. Now, Meshell is back to doing the music that we all love.

By the way, did you know that Meshell's birth name is Mary Johnson. A proud bisexual mother, Mary Johnson was born in the late 60s in Berlin, Germany and raised in Washington, DC. She later choose the name "Ndegocello" (pronounced N-day-gay-O-chello) because it means "free like a bird," in Swahili. She also joined the jazz program at Duke Ellington School of the Arts and then Howard University. And as an accomplished bassist, Me'shell has recorded with Steve Coleman, Caron Wheeler, Lenny White, Toshinobu Kubota; she has played with Toshi Reagon, The Black Rock Coalition and was the musical director for Arrested Developments Saturday Night Live performance. Ndegeocello was also one of the few bassists invited to audition for the Living Colour bass chair.

In the early nineties she was courted by Prince for his Park label but ultimately signed with Madonna's Maverick Records. Plantation Lullabies, her debut recording in 1993, featured Geri Allen, "Wah Wah" Watson, and Joshua Redman and yielded the hits "If He Was Your Boyfriend (He Wasn't Last Night)" and "Outside Your Door." You go girl!

Yes...... I am able to separate my appreciation for her musical talent from my vehement disagreement with her lifestyle choices....

The girl is an extremely talented artist.....

I just change the lyrics in my mind...

Her music is infectious....

and she is very much in tune with her sensuality......

which for me is very different from sexuality.....
