Well, I can't answer for all short women .. but in my case, I'm 5 feet, but I learned to be attracted to tall men because all of my girlfriends that I grew up with were tall (the shortest one was 5" 7' or 8'). I've only dated one short man in my life ... and it was kinda weird .. but I liked him and he was cute! lol.

Tall guys were a gauge by what we looked at and considered attactive. And old habits are hard to break, I guess! Smile

And ER I betcha you can handle all 115% of that 6'5" brotha ... Razz

TOAOM, now be sure you don't give nothing up too quick ... you want him to respect you ... nono

Yeah, the bus driver fella.....

But I want to, I want to!!

Seriously, though, this (chastity) belt is on so tight nowadays..... For one, I keep running into men who want ONLY that from me and the rest of them want me as their "friend"....

We'll see what he is about. I'm treading very softly.

Number 1 is really important.

The other day I was in a used camera shop and I saw a sistah there.... I was very turned on ... There she was in one of my favorite places amid the piles of old equipment ... tripods ... stands ... light kits ... etc. ... in this place usually frequented by old white men ...

I'd never before seen a black woman there ... like I said, I was very turned on ... I almost approached her ... I still wish I had ...

I'll add: It always turns me on to see sistahs doing the things I like to do ... it doesn't happen often ... so they always stand out ...

HONEST BROTHER, YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING TO HER. THAT WAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET SOMEONE NEW, AND MAYBE ON YOUR WAVE LINK---SHE COULD HAVE BEEN YOUR FUTURE WIFE, AND YOU JUST LET HER GO. Frown

NEXT TIME YOU SEE SOMEONE THAT YOU ARE ATTRACTED TO, TALK TO HER. EVERYBODY NEEDS A FRIEND. Wink

After awhile you just get tired of squeezing the produce when everything you touch turns out to be a lemon ... Frown

I do frequent art museums, libraries, and commercial bookstores (e.g., Barnes & Noble, Borders Bookstore), but unfortunately - and this is sure to open up another can of worms - I rarely see any Black men in these venues, at least not in my age range and in large numbers.

Or, the one's that are there don't date sisters/socialize with African/Blacks AND go out of their way to make that painfully obvious by being unacknowledging and unfriendly. Treating me like I am crazy for acknowledging another African person's presence. I'm 'youingish', but I always nod my head or speak when I see another African/Black person, male or female, reguardless of age or class, particularly in a place not frequented by 'us'. Call me old school...

So, so true.......
I hear that Oshun! We should always be mindful to speak to our own. It seems there is a serious lack of love for each other and the only way that is going to improve is by our showing constant love towards each other. I make a point to spread as much love to my people as I can, EVRA day...
