who would YOU REALLY like to vote for and see become the next US president?

I mean anyone you truly admire. Whether it's your neighbour, politician, your wife, or your local grocery store owner.

And yes, I am serious. If it causes anyone grief putting up real names... then no names, just describe who this anonymous person is.
And why you reckon they qualify.

You raise the interesting connection between intelligence and the presidency. Obviously there is none, but should there be? Should the president be "smart"?

That's another thing that annoys me about the way things are in this country. People don't want someone who presents himself as more intellectual than the average. Richer than average is okay, but intellectual has become a no-no.

*It is funny you would mention that VOX. I read an article about bush and how he represents a move towards ant-intellectualism....where he helps marginally intelligent white people still be competitive....think about it...look at the grinding halt the IT boom came to....I really do not think it is all economical.....I think their greatest mistake(racists in power) was letting the Internet become unregulated...because once people can learn in an independent manner, they are harder to control.....but under Clinton this country was really moving forward....now it seems like some backwoods azz hick azz colonial place full of hog farmers running things.......

Interesting... of course, if you understand the connection between the Bush Admin. & the http://Project for the New American Century,/ the organization working toward an American global empire (and what I'm positive is a move toward fascism), then you might consider this dumbing down to be part of the plan to make it easier to do whatever the hell they want to do. The smaller and less influential the intelligent electorate is, the less homegrown interference they'll have toward their goals...
Well, I've had a ballot with Vox's name on it for about a year now ... just waiting on him to work out his views on reparations and I'm still ready to cast it! Smile

Colin would have to declare Independent first ... still can't trust him to do the right thing.

I would vote for Hillary in a heartbeat.

But, for the pure fantasy of it, hmmm ... maybe Oprah would be a nice change! Big Grin

[adding on]
Who needs intelligence when we can just bully the rest of the world into playing by our rules... The Project for the New American Century is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to a few fundamental propositions: that American leadership is good both for America and for the world; and that such leadership requires military strength, diplomatic energy and commitment to moral principle

Since Johnny Cochran's no longer with us, I guess the next best thing would be Condi Rice.

A "true intellect." LOL!!! Can we look forward to his annual State of the Union rap?

**Yeah..he could never be the politician the proud whites looked for david duke to become....one of their finest....home-grown....West could never debate him on the issues..... laugh

When you have a command of Continental as well as the Anglo-American philosophical tradition, have held tenured faculty positions at four or more Ivy League univerisities, lectured internationally, authored and edited dozens of books for both the academy and the general population, you have earned the right to use rap as a pedagogical vehicle.

Heck, his command and mastery of the English language alone would be a breath of fresh air compared to the butchery and stupidity of Dubya the Village Idiot aka Shrub "Chimpy" Bush.

It's funny that during a time in the country where economic growth was stimulated by collusion between innovation from Silicon Valley and financial schemes from Wall Street you attribute this success to the government.

Just to take you on this trip back to reality can you tell me the greatest term that this time period produced from the mouths of Civil Rights Activists?

Was it:

A) Brothers and Sisters they are handing out venture capital funding like water!! You had better get a business plan together and go get some of this.

B) Capitalism is cicular in nature. Right now we are experiencing a peak in the cycle. Black people prepare yourselves to take advantage of the high tech jobs that are being created an move away from the manufacturing jobs.

OR

C) "DIGITAL DIVIDE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Black people are being LEFT BEHIND as the rest of the country prospers.

(Please note there were NO suggestions to develop businesses that offer shared use computers as I saw in Jamaica - in the residential areas, not just the tourist areas).

Just to bring you back to the realiity of that time:

http://www.wsws.org/news/1998/dec1998/jobs-d03.shtml
Boeing announcement brings US job cuts to 500,000 in 1998

It's funny how I am labeled a "Bush Cheerleader" but you despite the clear evidence escape being labeled a Democratic Cheerleader above and beyond the interests of Black people ESPECIALLY when it comes to comprehensive school reform that would stem the need for Affrimative Action which has dependency on WHITE FOLKS to agree to allow you into school.
Now that is funny how a negro will describe AA as white people letting me in school.....when there are whites with much lower scores than mine that did not even need AA to force equality on their behalf.....I guess motherfuckers have sophmoric understanding......but I doubt it......I think they personally know that white kids get in with lower grades but are so afraid to speak out against whites...they choose to label black people as sorry instead...oh well I am glad I graduated at the top of the class with graduate and post-graduate fellowships and awards...that helps me from looking at myself in the sorry azz way some negroes view themselves and their race...it is good to be a walking contradiction to everything negroes in deference to whites believe...if the majority of blacks are democratic cheerleaders...then throw me in also...i do not have a problem with how black people think as a majority and would never find shame in being a democrat or a liberal...because policy evolves over time...and if there are any good ideas developed to benefit black people.....just like history....I know what side of the political spectrum it will be coming from...the same one with the black majority....given our odds and racism i think we are pretty damn smart....that is why we supported the Iraq war less then any other racial group...and look how that turned out....we voted for bush less than any other group...and look how that turned out....and now we are going to the military less than any other group.....that doesn't soundlike people who do not understand the issues to me......my affirmative action has to be written...white folks have unwritten affirmative action...but when I come out on top.....i realize that I wasn't sorry...it was just society accomodating them instead and many shouldn't even be there sitting next to me........I guess that is the opposite of those blacks with the inferior mindset.....better them than me.....

But it is funny how you went silent on the questions posed to you and now slink back out to get a comment in.....but you never discuss racism in hiring and how AA HAD to be used to offset that....and how the racists still did not follow court orders.......that is how adamant racists are....nothing means shit to them but whiteness....not scores, merit or open and fair competition....my grades are much higher than W's...but I see a white man with a 77 average is still jesus to some blacks...just because he is white.......

**So why is it you have nothing to say about the white kids who have lower scores than the blacks the racist whites claim left them out of school? When are you ever going to hold white people accountable for their actions? This is our country also......so why white people get a pass on anything they do and we get castigated for the same things...you do see us all as equals don't you ( I know I will never get a direct answer to that one)
and it is funny how a black will say black people need to get high-tech jobs and move from manufacturing but support the policy efforts of others than allows racist hiring practices in those very sectors....and with lowered college enrollment and educational attainment, the prospects of blacks entering these fields are reduced significantly....I guess motherfuckers do not remember a time in this country where black men with PhD's still had to work as waiters and busboys.....I guess they must have been inferior..at a time when most white men barely finished hihg school....did not attend college and worked in a basic azz colonial agricutural society. Negroes who speak as if the battle ends when someone gets an education must not have too much of one themselves to even think some schit like that....but i'm kool because:

blkCons and their ilk cannot fix their mouths to admit they work against the interest of blacks politically

they cannot come up with an answer to why they support racist whites in reducing black opportunity.

they are too inferior to speak out against whites when discrimination against blacks is obvious...such as the lower scoring whites never being a part of the AA debate.

they do not acknowledge the reductions in professional inclusion and educational attainment they helped foster

and they do not acknowledge racism and discrimination against highly qualified blacks in the work and financial world

they do not see themselves as equals in terms of utilizing this countries resources...they promote a passive approach where black people walk away, segregate themselves and live a mrginal existence and not enjoy the full fruits of this country....

with that in mind...I always knew that they were troubled...but now that they cannot logically justify their own positions beyond bullschit rhetoric shows how fake their azzes really are....trying to cover up uncle tomming by placing it in a contemporary context as if they are adding sophistication to it.......that schit is funny and so are their "freaks of the race" azzes........
I don't really have a individual in mind (does Snoop Dogg count?); however I would like to see some rule changes made in determining who could even be considered for the highest office in the land..

All of the following criteria are not currently taken into consideration.. (it may shock you)
1. A minimum IQ score..

2. A Law Degree from an accredited US university. W/ a GPA of 3.5 or above (sorry Bush)

3. A Masters Degree from an accredited US university. W/ a GPA of 3.5 or above (sorry Bush)

4. A Psychological evaluation. (we could currently elect a wacko)

5. Pass a battery of ethical questions (while strapped to a lie detector)

6. A good credit score.

7. Must be married.

8. A 3rd term is possible if you are 65 yrs of age or less by the time of the start of your 3rd term.

9. Pass a physical evaluation (should we elect a president who could die of cancer in 2 months?)

I would add to that list a person who actually has served time in the military, I mean active duty where his ass was living in the mud and ruck marching 20 miles a day. Not this weekend warrior stuff where with a pen stroke you get credit even when you don't show up.

Better yet get someone who has actually got shot in the ass, maybe they won't be so quick to send people to war having remember the experience themselves.

I think Powell was conned by Bush and the reports he received. I also believe that he was so incensed and put out about how he was decieved that he quit the Bush administration. Notice that he and Bush have never been seen together since he left or at least, he does not project the image that he and Bush are great friends. I would vote for Colin Powell as the next president after Obama has served an eight years term.
