RE: "Author Shows Compelling Connection: Companies that Promote Violent Music Also Own Private Prisons.”
Just like any other business, without a steady supply of permanent customers, the business will not prosper. Government and privately financed prisons, county jails, city jails, mental institutions, etc., etc., create gainful employment opportunity for police officers, criminal court employees, judges, court reporters, court clerks, prison guards, lawyers, clergyman, medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, mental health professionals, building maintenance and construction workers, etc., etc., etc., creating gainful employment for anyone but U.S. born Black men and women, whose poor judgment and decision making made this possible.
No one held a gun at the temple of any of these individuals to cause these men and women to move fast in the wrong direction.

Truly innocent, U.S. born descendants of slavery, who have been violated by any atrocity of government, or who are or who been have convicted without good cause, have recourse, and a possible chance for redress, provided he or she are competently represented, but here again, the so-called university educated in the Black community, such as judges (Justice Clarence Thomas being one of multiple examples), incompetent, unethical, and treasonous Black lawyers (Attorney Elizabeth Harris, Attorney Sherise Francis, and/or other spineless and treasonous Black lawyers) dysfunctional Black elected officials (multiple members of the CBC, other elected Black leaders), un-American but misguided Black Nationalists, The Race Card Players, The Sleazy and the Greedy, Black America’s Yellow Journalists and Yellow Journal Newspapers, Court Clerk Delores Odom Stocks, etc., etc., have exacerbated the situation or have failed to step up to the plate in behalf of the many innocent Black men and women falsely accused, and punished without good cause.

More times than not, a Caucasian-American, Hispanic-American, Jewish, Korean-American, Italian-American, Jamaican, Ethiopian, Somali, Filipino, Iraqi, Russian, Mexican-American, etc., etc., communities won't be lifting a finger to look out for any U.S. born descendant slavery, because this is not their first duty/responsibility, to be the first to step up to the plate for any U.S. born descendant of slavery.

You would think after being a witness to, or being aware of generations of U.S. born Black men and women rotting in prison that the younger generation would be smarter.
After being released from prison, that is if he or she are not incarcerated for life, it is certain that these individuals will return to the Black community, and without gainful employment, without a second chance, these individuals will commit additional criminal acts to make the Black community an even more precarious, and unsafe place to live, for U.S. born descendants of slavery.
Without targeting any particular gender some Black men and women need to do some serious thinking, make better decisions, because the decisions you make determine your future, and can impact your family as well, in the event any family member are too young to fend for themselves and need the financial/constructive support of a responsible adult for his or her survival.
One thing is certain. The Black men and women who commit criminal/unethical/shameful acts, compromise gainful and lawful employment careers, their reputations are in the toilet, and after the criminal indictment, fines, etc., these Black men and women can't start crying about the future he or she faces.

Unless given a second chance, a felon, especially Black men and women who are felons face an uphill battle finding lawful gainful employment.
Unless an individual has substantial savings, hit the lottery or the stock market, is an heir to wealth, without work, without lawfully earned money this increases the chance of a felon committing additional criminal acts just to provide the necessities of life, such as food, clothing, and shelter, which means the chance of returning to prison are high.

THE JOB OF A CONGRESSMAN
“There are cases where an individual has been wrongfully treated by his government and about the only way, unless the individual resorts to court, and even in some cases the courts are not able to give proper relief, the only area or avenue open to the individual is through his representative. When you find a bona fide error has been made, I suggest that you make a maximum effort to remedy it. This I feel is a vital and important function of those of us in the House of Representatives”.

Property in One's Labor by Adam Smith
“The property which every man has in his own labour, as it is the original foundation of all other property, so it is the most sacred and inviolable. The patrimony of a poor man lies in the strength and dexterity of his hands; and to hinder him from employing this strength and dexterity in what manner he thinks proper without injury to his neighbour, is a plain violation of this most sacred property. It is a manifest encroachment upon the just liberty both of the workman, and of those who might be disposed to employ him. As it hinders the one from working at what he thinks proper, so it hinders the aothersa from employing whom they think proper. To judge whether he is fit to be employed, may surely be trusted to the discretion of the employers whose interest it so much concerns. The affected anxiety of the law–giver lest they should employ an improper person, is evidently as impertinent as it is oppressive.”
