Wow! In the LAND of the free world....nothing really changed except of course that black women are being forced in other part of the world to participate in FGM.[Men always wanna control our coochies....] That's the only difference and still there is a sick desire to continue to subjegate the descendants of African greatness: the goddess of chocolate skin. The white male depiction in this short film is absolutely on the money....and it is a dominance thang and also having complete control over the image of Black women is and always been the goal. It seems every man doesn't feel powerful unless he has full CONTROL over the future of African Women....more so than any other women on this planet. Wonder why? And what exactly is this film saying to us as black women.....as a black people? Huh? We and ONLY we have power to unravel this destructive sickness and bring it back to normalty. But first in order to do this we must (1) stop self-hating, (2) stop thinking that the white man has the power to tell our stories (3) stop relying on others to do the right thang for us and finally (4) be OUR leaders in OUR on lives. We have proven back in the day WHAT we can do collectively as a unit. So I say, fock 'em. We can do this ourselves....so what's "stopping" us? It's no SECRET! US!!! We are stopping us. Not massa, not Ms. Ann......us! So what the film didn't say from the CORRECT depiction of the white man is....massa and his boys are shaking in their boots wondering WHEN it's gonna happen when blackfolks figure it out that they NEVER needed the white people for ANYTHING. But it's kinda hard when we continue to sabbotage ourselves while worrying about what massa will do next to take us in the next century...when in fact it is all up to us. My question: When are we gonna get this epiphany? Cuz time is running out....but!
