New service will save students 80 percent compared to regular retail prices.

Students, when you go back to school this fall, you won’t have to get into the huge line at the bookstore just to purchase your textbooks.

Google announced that it's bringing textbooks to the Google Play store so students will be able to rent and buy their textbooks on their Android devices.

Students can expect to rent and buy textbooks at an 80 percent discount.

To launch this service, the company has partnered with five textbook publishers that include: Pearson, Wiley, McGraw-Hill, Higher Education, and Cengage Learning.

The service will be available in August.

Will you be buying or renting your textbooks from Google Play?
