NFL Retired Star Shannon Sharpe Sets Every Person Straight On Colin Kaepernick

0
20048

Shannon Sharpe is from Georgia and is not afraid to talk about race relations on national tv. Personally, I think the tv network got more than they bargained for. Shannon Sharpe set every white person straight yesterday when he said he has been black for 48 years, and that is only thing that most people see. The points that he made was extraordinary.

For example, he stated that a white person in Florida murdered two people and was caught eating a man’s face. Yet he was taken alive in custody and given a court date. The little white coward who marched into a church and murdered 9 black people was taken to Burger King after the murder because he was hungry. Yet black people are being murdered for Skittles, loose cigarettes, and selling CD’s.

If you have not heard this interview, take the chance and listen to it right now. Trust me, it is must see1.

Hal. Lay.  Lu. Yer.  Everything he said MADE SENSE!!!!  Having said that, white DUDE know the answer before he asked...what is the resolution?  Cuz why?  White folks been playing the game to control black people since we came to this country.  He know what the answer is to this problem.  And the brotha said it in the elegant demanding forceful way possible.  And one of the answers to the problem is EDUCATION....and to me that the other answer is teaching BLACK LOVE.  To be PROUD of where you came from....and not to be jealous of the trinkets that massa have to make him feel powerful....EDUCATION dismantles that.  Thank you my brotha!  That was truly amazing to see.  I want other brothas to be that CONFIDENCE...and forceful.  It is a good look for a black man.  But!

He had me until he wouldn't hold the BIG distinction between sworn police officers murdering American citizens and American citizens murdering each other.

Black-on-Black crime has absolutely nothing to do with racists joining America's police forces so they can get away with murdering [LYNCHING] Black people.

And, while it should never happen, Black people that kill other Black people have not sworn and oath to PROTECT AND SERVE American citizens; Black people who kill other Black people are not being paid a salary with Americans/Black Americans' tax dollars toPROTECT AND SERVE them and their communities; Black people who kill other Black people do not walk free, but are tried and convicted for their crime; there are not any predominately Black juries betraying their duty merely to make sure no one Black is ever convicted for killing a Black person.

When Black people are talking about the subject of police murdering Black people in America, they should not allow anyone to try to divert the conversation into anything else, they should not allow those who want to excuse and rationalize racist cops murdering Black people, to be able to take control of the narrative and deliberately take it off the subject of racist cops getting away with murdering Black people in America.

He explained that when you take away a person's hope they'll go "to drastic measures by any means necessary to climb up...." and out. There's a lotta truth to that.   It is the crabs in the barrel syndrome which affect many black folks that most times reduces them to a low level where they willingly participate in black on black crime.  With that analogy I agree.  Cuz who want to exist in deprivation?  And couple that with a lack of education?  The two can exist....hope and deprivation.  Which is what created gangs in my view.  They knew they couldn't acquire the things they wanted so they were willing to kill for it and did.  And still do.  Even while the po po is killing us too.  As why I agree with in regards to be educated enough to prepare oneself to go get it the right way.  And although they are educated criminals...most times it is "white" collar crimes that do not KILL or MURDER.

True.

Black people shouldn't kill each other for any reason.  Black youth shouldn't stalk and kill each other for tear drop status.  Black adults shouldn't kill each other as a result of being in a crime of passion moment. seeking revenge or other ridiculous excuses...but they do!  And that has to STOP now.  As much as police murdering black folks should STOP.

I understand and wish I felt that way.  But both type of killings are happening at the same time here lately.  And it is much like mango and rice...it's hard to separate the two especially these days cuz the end result is always the same:  a BLACK PERSON is murdered.

I just think his approach will reach a lot of black folks who can respond to his level of commentary.  Cuz right now?  A lot blacks are still killing each other despite the fact that the police is also killing us in droves.  We don't have black leaders out there who can carry the torch for our right to live in this America.  Most if not all are SILENT.  I haven't heard a thing from Smiley, West, Dyson who all had a lot to say a couple of years ago.  And the men of the church...where are they?  We're in a crisis of epic proportion.  Where are their voices?  Don't hear a thing.  And I haven't seen a tour bus going into black communities like before.  Nada.  So if this brotha can reach folks and influence and encourage them NOT to kill each other by giving his explanation why they do what they do and it works and cause them to reflect with their minds and not guns?  Then hey at least he's LOUD and unafraid to do the task.  For me?  We need MORE brothas out there giving their perspectives on this matter.  It's not all gonna be the same theory...but!  It will show a form of unity and bravery.  And that's what we as black people need right now.  But!

I can separate the two clearly in my mind, just as clearly as the difference between "strange fruit" swinging from trees during jim crow as a result of vile racist hatred for Black people, and any instance of a Black person killing another Black person out of an act of passion.

And, yes, they both need to be stopped, but they both are occurring for very different reasons, and should never be meshed together, not in our minds, not by those who are trying to control the narrative of of our lives and our history, not in all the attempts to "justify" racists psychopaths donning police uniforms, getting away with LYNCHING Black people in America.  They both call for different approaches to be solved.

When it comes to the majority of Black on Black crime, which being primarily committed by Black teenagers and Black youth, we are dealing with a segment of an entire generation that is operating with a large disconnect when it comes to the value of human life, [including their own], that has been handed guns [and drugs] by the massive loopholes in our gun laws.

It's going to take the vast majority of Black people/African Americans, coming together in UNITY, to close up that void in our teenagers and youth, while simultaneously closing up that giant loophole in our gun laws and/or their express delivery directly into the hands of Black youth.

Just like it's going to take a massive, unified effort on our part to put an end to all these racist cops getting away with murdering Black people in America, it's also going to take a massive, unified effort on our part to close up the loopholes in our gun laws that are responsible for putting guns in the hands of our immature teenagers and immature youth.

It's also going to take a massive, unified effort by African Americans to acknowledge and accept the fact that so-called "gangsta" Rap/"hardcore" Rap, has been greatly responsible for imprinting violence, guns, and disregard for the value of human life, on the "Blank Slates" of the minds of Black teenagers and Black youth.

So, African America has a big  job on its hands, saving our young people from themselves and the undue influence of Psychology Propaganda disguised as "entertainment", and from all the traps set out for them by flooding Black youth with guns, right after flooding their communities with drugs, and saving them and any of the rest of us from the LYNCHINGS being carried out by America's racist cops.

os I saw Mr. Sharpe; Elder Rashon Delay sent him my way. We have heaps of talkers, none of our problems are being solved. We need to leave these Troglodytes; most of can't afford what we need to do. We need to go like Tina Turner, hand in our Passports; if we have them and live somewhere there's peace and quiet. As long as we're here, we've going to be fighting and snarling with these human dogs. That's it. We're going to stay here until they kill us all. Case closed.

@ Sista Sunnubian....

I wasn't implying that you couldn't tell the difference between black on black crime and police brutality nor was I indicating that both are the same. I know better than that.  Plus  I have always SCREAMED there is a difference and that police brutality is the karma from black on black crime especially gang violence as a result of it  not being addressed during inception.   I just agreed with the perspective of this brotha's approach including that one of the resolution to the  problem with our youth ...is exposing them to quality education so they wouldn't wanna even go near a gun or gang.  His reasonings leading to their violent/criminal behavior made sense to me.  Cuz kids do lose hope when they can't have the same as their peers.

And I understand fully the plight behind Jim Crow and all the horrors [lynchings, castrations, cross burnings etc] attached to it and the distinction between what is presently happening dually in our culture and what happened back then.  Your assessment is correct  but I just think we need ALL OF US to put our heads together to fight this dual war against us.  For the part we don't agree?  Ignore it and concentrate on the parts agreed because we are running out of time.  I just posted another police killing in Oklahoma.  Dude's car stalled and he was murdered for it even with his hands up in compliance.  So.  For me?  What we have now?  Is not working.  BLM has not stopped one murder.  Everyone who have true leadership ability has bailed out.  And the only ones left are those in the community.  So all I'm saying is sometimes you gotta work with whatcha got.  And thus far, it's brothas like him, T.I. athletes, celebrities, and others who many of us thought wouldn't have the courage or ability to unify....are coming forward in avengence.  So.  I'm not trying to change your position at all.   Nope.   I'm merely pointing out that we NEED everybody who's willing to join the fight...even if some of the things said are not favorable.  Cuz.   Seriously.  What else do we have?  Just more and more dead bodies.  But!

I absolutely agree with you and there is no confusion in my mind either.

Police officers are in positions of authority, as such, they are held to a higher standard, they are supposed to protect and serve the community, they are paid with our tax dollars and they take the law enforcement oath of honor.

*snip*

The following Law Enforcement Oath of Honor is recommended as by the International Association of Chiefs of Police as symbolic statement of commitment to ethical behavior:

On my honor,
I will never betray my badge,
my integrity, my character,
or the public trust.
I will always have
the courage to hold myself
and others accountable for our actions.
I will always uphold the constitution
my community and the agency I serve.

Before any officer takes the Law Enforcement Oath of Honor, it is important that he/she understands what it means. An oath is a solemn pledge someone makes when he/she sincerely intends to do what he/she says.

Honor means that one's word is given as a guarantee.
Betray is defined as breaking faith with the public trust.
Badge is the symbol of your office.
Integrity is being the same person in both private and public life.
Character means the qualities that distinguish an individual.
Public trust is a charge of duty imposed in faith toward those you serve.
Courage is having the strength to withstand unethical pressure, fear or danger.
Accountability means that you are answerable and responsible to your oath of office.
Community is the jurisdiction and citizens served. *SNIP*

ME:  Yet too many police officers murder with impunity, especially, when dealing with black people, there is no honor involved, there is no integrity, there is no trust and accountability (on the racist police officers' part).

IMO, there is something seriously wrong with a paid civil servant who (based on a person's race) runs amok murdering people with impunity, denying them basic human rights.

There is black on black crime, white on white crime, brown on brown crime, asian on asian crime but!….

There should never be police on black, brown, asian crime, a person's racial makeup should never play a part in whether or not a police officer will adhere to the oath of honor he took at the start of his career.

Police officers are murderers of BLACK MEN, SONS and DAUGHTERS. That's all they are. They're the Slave Patrols, protecting the WHITE MAN'S STOLEN SHIT. We pay the price for being with these motherfluckers. The NATIVES are still in SHOCK; they weren't expecting THIS. Our black behinds are stolen too, right along with the entire flukin' country. This whole place is a lying NIGHTMARE, TRUTH be TOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's why NO ONE can GET ALONG, SATAN's KICKING MAJOR ASS. NO ONE'S HOME WHERE THEY BELONG. America's a sick Broadway Play that most of us are sorry we're attending and we got in for free; unfortunately we can't get out to get home, because that costs millions.

He was "frustrated" by Kaepernick not standing for the National Anthem; FOCK HIM!

He "felt" "frustrated" because he "thought of his father, who was a veteran, and believed Kaepernick was "disrespecting" veterans; so, just how freaking "disrespected" does he believe the children of the Black men who are DEAD feel?

I hope that you all can see that even by saying that sh!t this MOFO is actually putting not standing for the National Anthem above the murder of Black men, women and children by racist cops in America.

He was "frustrated" because Kaepernick is Black and was making a stand against White racism, and he was "frustrated" because his trying to aid and abet America's media in trying to change the narrative from protesting against White racist police brutality and cops literally LYNCHING Black men [and Black woman and Black children] with Impunity, to "disrespecting veterans" didn't work.

AND EVEN IF IT DID "DISRESPECT" VETERANS, HOW IN THE FREAKING HELL IS THAT ON THE SAME FREAKING LEVEL AS MURDERING/LYNCHING BLACK PEOPLE WITH COMPLETE, STATE-SANCTION IMPUNITY!

What irks me just as much as Kneegroes cooning for racist White people by actually making statements that imply that Black people [and presumably ALL Black people but them] are "looking for a handout", is the fact that it has been racist Whites' racist PROPAGANDA, that painted Black people as "looking for a handout", etc., in the first place.

But, you have to be one stupid ASS, to actually believe that all, or even most, Black people are "looking for a handout", to begin with, because the same people that run around DISSEMINATING THAT RACIST PROPAGANDA see Black people working everyday in every area, field, city, town, company, business, corporation, etc., etc., etc., with their own eyes, and STILL incessantly spread that same worn-out racist propaganda about Black people ANY chance they get, to ANYONE who will listen.

Okay.  Maybe I'm getting old did I miss something?  I listened to the video twice.  Yeah there's social media.  Yes there are some black "coons" who are delusional to think that if they can be successful[without giving back] anyone can.  Got that!  And to me...ain't nobody blind.  As you say my sista you can see black people working in every avenue in every day life.  So that deflunks the myth that everyone black is looking for a hand out.  So what is dude talking about?  What is he actually upset about?  Cuz it is NOT new news that we are just as capable and productive as anybody as else....otherwise it would be like India over here.  There are REASONS  not excuses as to why some make it "successful" and others don't.  You can't generalize a whole race.  That's just common sense. But!
