The answer is simple. Sometimes it best to be seen and not heard. A empty wagon makes more noise than a full one. You only show your true ignorance when you open your mouth. If you listen, you just might learn something. And lastly, if you don't have the answer, don't broach the question. Hotep. Olu Olufemi Chike

Why do you need to 'learn', it's easy! Take some grains of truth, add in a mixture of other religious information with a whole bunch of lies about aliens, find some gullable folk willing to part with their money and 'presto'. BTW, if I had an anti-human wordlview, I'd be a megarich cult leader. My invention would be more exotic than the current cult of Jesus though; and nobody would have to drink the punch.
Speaking of cults... Do 'yall remember the Heaven's Gate Cult? The ones that all killed themselves so they could be transported to the mother ship. I always wondered why they had to have Nike Cortez(Gangsta Nikes) on to accomplish this.

I actually thought about this yesterday.

Anyways....Congrats HonestBrother!
Why do we have a war where the ones who are trained and authorized to shoot and kill get charged reguarly for murder and those that are there for security (Blackwater et. al.)get immunity for the same thing?

War is about money and property and nothing else. The two encompasses the power to control. Blackwater and the military are one in the same. Their objective is the same. The military-industrial-complex is at work in the Iraq war and soon to be at work in Iran. The people who control blackwater are of the military persuaion. Their personnel are mainly ex-military soldiers and leaders. The board of directors of all military industrial corporations are made of ex-military people. These folk LOVE TO KILL; espically non-whilte folk. They, eventually, want to control the entire world. The 'new world order' if you will. The reason blackwater soldiers are not held in the same esteem as regular soldiers is because they are not governed by military laws. They are governed by civil laws and since these violations occurred in what is termed a hostile situation, they are not held liable by the government of this country because their 'crimes' occurred in a foreign (but amerikkkan controled)country. They are not held accountable by this government. They should be judged by Iraq laws but you know thats not about to happen.
Blackwater is not the only contracted military group in Iraq. How many others is a well guarded secret by the government. They are militants who can kill without justification and it has been well documented. To take the heat off of their atrocities, the government procutes those in the military because its easy. Notice, no member of congress or member of the house of representatives has lost a son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, uncle, aunt, or any family member in this war. That's why there will never be another draft in this country. The draft would require these folks family members to be put in harms way like the rest of the popluations family members. Mainly the poor. War? What is it good for? Power and control. Hotep. Olu Olufemi Chike.

Hotep Black Family,
WOW!!!
You are in love with Tommy,
Because his last name is Hilfiger,
But behind closed doors, Tommy,
Is calling you a n*gger,
But you could care less,
Because you have been taught to dress to impress,
If I ask you about your true history,
You would have to look on the back of your jeans and Guess,
You come up in the club wearing Versace,
Clothes made by a homosexual male,
So even when you say you are straight,
It is very hard to tell,
And for footwear, you wear Timberlands,
Even under the sun,
That same tree that's the symbol for them,
Could have been the same one your ancestors were hung from,
I cannot forget Nautica,
When was the last memory you have of ships,
Coming to North America in shackles,
Being beaten over the back with whips,
And to my beautiful black queens,
Whose creative womb has become barren,
I am confused because your face says Nefertiti,
But your sweater reads Donna Karen,
When was the last time you saw Liz Claiborne,
Conversing with black women,
But as soon as her name is printed on a purse,
To Macy's you quickly go, running,
Ralph Lauren doesn't even look at black men,
Unless they are driving him around town,
But as soon as that slave master appears on the back of a horse,
You put whatever you have picked up down,
My people reclaim your status in this world and in your life,
F.U.B.U. in case you didn't know, stands for (For Us By Us),
Buying black will someday suffice,
Do you know who owns Timberland fashion?
Well, Timberland is owned by the president of the KKK,
Surprised? Don't be.
Read more books black people,
Always hope for the best and prepare for the worst,
You may not get what you pay for,
But you'll surely pay for what you get.

Thanks everyone for your support!
After I made my initial announcement, I later learned that while my client wanted me as her photographer, Essence had reservations.
I had to "audition" before they would approve. So I was a bit premature.
But now it's official:
I'm getting into Essence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just don't forget where you came from, hear? Or, we'll all write a tell-all book saying that, "We knew him when ..."

I remember a famous person once said, "it's in the bag".

Congratulations!
I had one of those great moments in class this morning. After a semester of teaching business math including a good bit of probability and statistics, a student comes up to me after class and says, "Alan Greenspan said that the probability of flipping a coin 10 times and getting 10 consecutive heads is 1/2. That's not right is it?"
I said, "Yep. That's not right. Mr. Greenspan doesn't know everything after all."
I said, "Yep. That's not right. Mr. Greenspan doesn't know everything after all."

But getting back to the women. They were dressed so slutty....I mean really slutty. There's a different between sexy and slutty. THEY WERE SLUTTY. I was extremely...Wait! Actually, this should be in the sista spot. I just have to think of a title. So I will finish this experience in the ladies forum.

I miss Khalliqa ...

I got to meet my new niece for the first time today. Ain't nothing like brand new little people.

Today has been very eventful and fun... nothing beats getting together with my whole family. This is my husband and I's first major hooliday as a married couple. The joke of the day was that I was finally able to join the "big girl" conversations about "big girl topics". This is the first time since christmas that everyone has been together so that automatically makes everything better. I was lucky because I've been worrying about how we were going to split the holiday and it turns out that we didn't have to. My in-laws came over to my granny's house and it was really nice. I am truly thankful for this time together we have...now if only I could get my husband to wake up so we can go

Sometimes putting on a nice fragrance (he likes) and prancing about the room as you get ready helps..... :-)
Why do [some] people seem to thrive on finding fault and placing blame? Sometimes [most times] sh!t happens and whose fault it is is of little to no importance.
Just my passing thought.

Now see that would in itself would present a problem! Meaning... we're still newly weds! And moves like that are just begging for trouble.

I saw the movie "This Christmas" last night, and it's hard to believe it was directed by a black man [Preston Whitmore]. Nope, I did NOT! like this flick. . .not even a little bit.
While the actors were ALL pretty good [& it's always nice to see black folk on the big screen], the storyline, itself, didn't flow for me and the family members/situations were not 'believable,' imo. . .
Too many things just didn't ring true and some things I found offensive.
I would've walked out. . .had it not been for the 3 teens who came with me. . .who couldn't see beyond Chris Brown. . .
[to my surprise] they actually enjoyed this flick.
Say what?!?
I found it VERY BORING. It was an unrealistic view of black family life, imo. I don't know who the writer is, but I wouldn't be surprised if the story was written by a white man.
I give it four thumbs down.

Although I'm sure the men who see this movie. . .will enjoy Regina King's half naked scenes toward the end. LOL

For a while there was a preview/trailer for a holiday movie that I would see on tv about a black family. It looked like a (minor) storyline involved a young black man bringing his white girlfriend home for the holidays. (Actually, I thought this might be central to the movie.) After a while I would see the same trailer but with that "storyline" completely left out. I really thought the movie was "This Christmas" but perhaps I've mistaken it for some other movie.

Yes, it's the same movie. . .

So last week I give a test.
I have about 130 people to whom to distribute an exam. I thought it wouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
Wrong.
As I'm passing out the exam, I have people approaching me asking off the wall questions.
Says one girl: My grandfather is in the hospital. Is it alright if I keep my cellphone on in case they call to let me know how he's doing?
I'm thinking: Is it really too much to ask for you to turn it off for 1 hour?
Despite telling them not to turn the paper over until I give the word, people turn the paper over. So I waste more time repeating the instruction not to turn the paper over.
Geez.
At one point during the exam, one guy asks which button to push on the calculator to do such and such.
I'm thinking: Have you really gone the entire semester and this is the first time you've thought to ask that question?
One girl straight up asks me how to do a problem. I tell her I can't tell her that.
She asks: How do you expect me to know this?
I reply: Because I told you that it would be on the exam. It was on several quizzes. And the last test.
I think: That shoulda been a clue.
Later on, she comes up and says: I've taken this course 3 times and I haven't learned anything in your class. I paid good money.
I say: You didn't pay good money to have me think for you.
She says: I'm not a retard.
Said I: I didn't say that you were.
PS: These were white kids ...
