[PART 1 : The 500 year terrorist attacks of Europe and America on the African people]

[THE EUROPEAN SLAVE INDUSTRY AND THE USE OF MIXED HERITAGE PEOPLE]

[DID AFRICANS SELL OTHER AFRICANS ?]

Today i intend to put and end to a lie that has been circulated amongst african people for decades and that keeps creating stigmas that should do not exist on the African people.

This question has been haunting me for ages and has led me to research into this matter more profoundly. And i have found my answers. I figured that if they lied about Kemet and every other african civilization in the world, why wouldn't they lie about this also ?

Most of the time, you hear about how africans allegedly sold their kinsmen into slavery and they make it sound like it was something natural to the african. Well, i am glad to say it is all nonsense. Let's research facts instead of mythology. I was

You have the image of a stronghold built by the English in Ghana current time of the slave trade and the guns stored show the military aspect of trafficking that explains a lot. Western historians tell us that came the traders came with European goods (pacotille, mirrors and ) to buy slaves to kings Africans that pretends to be finished idiots. If this trade was so so peaceful, why build strongholds ?

In reality, the slave trade was well planned.
As we say here, if Africa was superior economically, administratively and content of human rights, it was less strong militarily.

First, the European diplomatic contacts with African states and in doing so gained their trust. Second, they built forts on the coast armed states to submit. Those were used to store guns, guns, gunpowder, swords etc ... and finally began to politically destabilize states. The land policy was carefully studied and were looking for a king who wanted to expand its territory, a government that wanted power or a vassal king who sought to free themselves from oppressive supervision of a central authority.

This person was the object of attention and they would provide weaponry to generate conflicts with a foreign kingdom or against the central power, delivering prisoners of war in Europe in exchange for weapons. The kingdom or empire was attacked and in turn buy weapons for survival and he would deliver prisoners of war in exchange. Another way was to enter into direct war against the state and eliminate those who publicly refused to cooperate and arm those who accepted. Given their military inferiority, some states were forced to sign peace by providing their citizens. While pretending they would keep the prisoners of war in the forts for the warring states, the slaves ships would come at night and carry their ration of slaves to deport. A lot of African kings discovered this practice and tried to end but it was often too late already.

You are never told that througout the 500 years of terror on African soil, the Europeans fought at least 60 wars with different states to sudbue them. The English for example fought 7 wars with the Asante Empire before finally subduing it.

[THE USE OF MIXED ANCESTRY PEOPLE AS INFILTRATORS AND MIDDLE-MEN]

Another practice was the use of the people of mixed heritage. As they would rape the captured african women, they would use their offspring and train them to hate their african kinsmen. Hence a lot of people of mixed heritage were involved in the slave trade and served as middle men for the European enslavers. Sometimes, the europeans would go as far as murdering the reigning king and replacing them by a person of mixed ancestry. The portuguese mastered that art to the finest. This is why people of mixed heritage were rejected amongst the African people.

After losing 15,000 men strong, the king of Ndongo (Angola) predecessor of Queen Nzinga committed suicide facing the dilemma. Members of the government Kongo were captured and deported. The emperor Afonso Nzinga Mbemba the 1st escaped 15 terrorist attack staged by the Portuguese because he refused to cooperate. The West Africa (Senegambia, Guinea Bissau ...) and East Africa (Kilwa, Mozambique ...) were also destroyed in this cycle-gun war slaves. The number of prisoners of war experienced an exponential growth. The continent was ablaze.

African kings were also fooled. King of Allada (Benin) replied as follows to the French who ask permission to erect a factorie in 1670 "You will build a house you first put 2 small pieces of cannon, the following year you climb 4 and shortly your factorie will metamorphose into a fort that will make you the master of my state and abetting you impose on me your laws. "

Sunnubian asks: DID AFRICANS SELL OTHER AFRICANS?

Sunnubian concludes that “Most of the time, you hear about how africans allegedly sold their kinsmen into slavery and they make it sound like it was something natural to the african. Well, i am glad to say it is all nonsense.”

Before I address the question of whether or not Africans sold other Africans into slavery allow me first respond to what is a lie and absolute nonsense.  Sanford J. Ungar in his book Africa argues that; “in some respects< Africa never had a chance to be taken seriously by America and Americans.  From the earliest references in literature, both scholarly and popular, the continent suffered from the vision of “darkest Africa” – a place of savages, jungles, and chaos.  The Puritans made much of the negative connotations of dark skin, and they were among the first to invoke biblical support for theories of black inferiority, including such devices as Noah’s Curse.  Then the ideas arouse about Africans’ closeness to natural life,” their similarity to apes and other dark animals, their tendency toward promiscuous sex and other sins.  All of this pseudoreligious and pseudoscientific analysis gained currency in the United States during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.”

That said Sunnubian what follows are lies!!

From the Good News Bible 1976

24 When Noah sobered up and
learned what his youngest son had
done to him,
he said,
"A curse on Canaan!

(Noah’s believed black son)
He will be a slave to his
brothers.
From The Holy Bible Old and New Testaments in the King James Version 1970
Cursed be Canaan; a
servant of servants shall he be unto his
brethren.
 The Book of Mormon
" ...And he had caused the cursing to come upon them...wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them...and cursed shall be the seed of him that mixeth with their seed.  "Nephi the white follower of Moses should never mix with Laminites, the ones cursed with "a skin of blackness" because they disobeyed the word of Moses!

No persons, religion or faith the world over has or can produce any evidence other than aforementioned that God cursed anybody!  The so-called curse of Ham is not only intended to be exclusionary as it came to refer to those with dark skin but more importantly it is an outright lie!  “Ham the father of Canaan shall be the slave to his brethren or the servant to his brethren.”  The modern and more contemporary definition of this Biblical decree means as slaves they were excluded from all of societies benefits.  The fact of the matter is that African Americans for all intent and purposes had been in one form or another excluded from the full benefits of American society since their arrival and up until the signing of the Civil Rights Act in 1964 and its ratification in 1965.

Now, to your question of AFRICANS SELLING OTHER AFRICANS?

Allow me to reiterate your quotation and conclusion that Africans selling other Africans is“…all nonsense.”

Maybe so, but not according the following authors and scholars who all conclude that West African Kingdoms conducted slaving raiding campaigns for three hundred years.  Moreover, the following scholars also argue further that Africa’s role in procuring slaves for the Western World was vital to the success of the entire slave enterprise.  Additionally, the following authors contend that the primary role and responsibility of the Europeans and Americans was that of transporting the slaves to their final destinations.

From Kraaal’s fairly small library, here are the authors and scholars whom I have read.

Civilization or Barbarism – An Authentic Anthropology

Cheikh Anta Diop (the renowned black Senegalese scholar)

PreColonianl Black Africa - Cheikh Anta Diop (the renowned black Senegalese scholar)

Children of God’s Fire – A Documentary History of Black Slavery in Brazil

Robert Edgar Conrad

Black Folk Then and Now-W.E.B. Du Bois (the renowned African American scholar)

Inhuman Bondage-The Rise and Fall of Slavery in the New World

David Brion Davis

African Glory – J.C. DeGraf-Johnson

Africa Since 1800-Third Edition

Roland Oliver and Anthony Atmore (Recommended reading particularly relevant to Sunnubian’s question)

The Africans – David Lamb

Black Cargoes-A History of the Atlantic Slave Trade

Daniel P. Mannix in collaboration with Malcolm Cowley, (Recommended reading particularly relevant to Sunnubian’s question)

Race and Slavery in the Middle East-An Historical Enquiry

Bernard Lewis

The Literature & Thought of Modern Africa A Survey

Claude Wauthier

All of the aforementioned authors and scholars conclude that West Africans not only participated in the slave trade through the procurement of slaves, i.e., slave raiding expeditions, but that the entire enterprise would not have succeeded without the cooperation of the West African Kingdoms.
