PanAfrica: Africa to Have Single President By 2025

This is really interesting because I had always wondered how well the African Union would be able to do over there and exactly what direction it would take to become effective, and if, in fact, it would make itself effective.

So far, they have steadily progressed ... slowly, for forward nonetheless. And I think that's a good thing.

To have one president over Africa is a really, really big goal, though! I had no idea they were trying to go there! I'm not sure whether or not I think this will be a good idea, either!

And I can't really believe they will be able to make it ... but I hope I'm wrong about that!

Will this be modeling itself after the United States of America or like the European Union or CARICOM?

I can imagine the something like the last two, but good luck with the first.

What's the incentive of the stronger countries?

What happens if a certain region gets overrepresentation in the government?

Hope it doesn't backfire and stick an entire continent with a Mugabe. But would that even be possible?

Would Africans want a Mugabe or a Bush?

I'm not sure if a majority of the continent would pick him.

Mugabe probably isn't all that sure most of Zimbabwe really wants him.

He's been accused of some things that make Florida look vanilla.

Maybe most of Africa would vote for him. I really don't know.

I wouldn't.

Mugabe is a probelm we must address as Africans. However, he was right to chase white folks out of his nation, and for that, I would prefer him over white rule in Africa.

While I have no problem with the redistribution of African land back to African people (and will give that scourge Mugabe credit for actually doing that!) I have a BIG problem with the idiot doing it with no intellegent plan for implementation and on a platform of nepotism and cronyism which has left a bread-basket of Africa starving, dying, homeless, broke and ostracized!!

I completely agree with EbonyRose. MBM, I know you side with everything BLACK, but USUALLY the majority of your comments are along the lines of heightened intelligence.

But this statement borders ignorance. Mugabe did not "overthrow" a white government. It was handed to him on a silver platter by the ol' dreaded United States of America. Look up your history of Africa, my fellow countryman. After Henry Kissinger pressured the white government, led by Ian Smith, to step aside. AND after the first election which Bishop Abel Muzorewa and Canaan Banana were elected, only then was Mugabe elected. This horror [Mugabe] is a by-product of the United States intervening in foreign affairs... [again].

But I understand why you favor him [being BLACK and all]. But whatever my heritage is, I certainly won't support Pot, Hitler, or Stalin. Even as an American, I am truly horrified and what Andrew Jackson has done to the Indians with his RACIST views of them.
