GAZA - Two-year-old Amir toddled over to the window of his house during an
Israeli army raid in Gaza City on Thursday, his curiosity apparently piqued
by the noise outside.

By the time his father could reach him, the Palestinian boy was dead. A
bullet had pierced his skull.

"I could not help him," Ahmed Ayyad said, choking back tears at the local
morgue, where his son's tiny body drew a steady stream of people offering
their condolences.

Ayyad, a grey-haired blacksmith, said Amir and his three other children had
huddled, trembling, in the house as the sound of automatic weapons fire and
tank shell explosions echoed outside.

"My two-year-old, Amir, walked away suddenly towards the window facing the
Israeli troops. A bullet hit him in the head," he said...

The Israeli military fired tank shells and heavy machine guns during the
operation and helicopters launched four missiles at the gunmen.

Sirens wailed throughout the night and morning as ambulances rushed dozens
of Palestinian casualties to Gaza's main hospital, where hundreds of
volunteers gathered to help emergency crews...

Look what about the Afro-Brazilian street children killed every year by the Brazilian police who know what they're doing? Who cries for them? Victims of the same type of organized brutality.

Our people have made the mistake of confusing the methods with the objectives. As long as we agree on objectives, we should never fall out with each other just because we believe in different methods, or tactics, or strategy. We have to keep in mind at all times that we are not fighting for separation. We are fighting for recognition as free humans in this society

Certain members response to this post: Israel is a peaceful country! That child was a victim of "collateral damage", or better yet, that two year old was a conspicious threat to the Israeli army and Israel's right to exist! Killing Arab children is vindicated because Arabs "deserve it". How dare you Khalilallah think about the deaths of thousands of Palestinian children, their abject poverty, low employment, torture in improsinment, economic hardship and their deprivation of basic human rights when numerous poor white Jews are being bombed in nightclubs? How dare you question the "pure" motives of the Israeli government, when they segregate Black and Arab Jews from taking blood tests in hospitals with white Jews, in addition to segregating their synagogues, much like in the apartheid, when the whole world is being "anti-semitic"? We all need to get our priorities straight!

We should only focus on disarmament of the Arab countries in the Middle East, because Israel's WMD's are A-ok. We should focus on the U.N. resolutions that were defied because that undermines the U.N.'s authority. But please don't have the audacity to bring up the hundred's of UN resolutions defied by Israel, because that doesn't constitute as "double standards".

The daily killings of children by the Israeli army is justified because the Jews were victims of the Holocaust. Plus, there are Palestinian suicide bombers, and the only way to eliminate those is to kill children. Nonetheless, Ariel Sharon is a peaceful man, said Geroge Bush. How can we disagree?

(My own sarcasm makes me sick, I can only imagine how you feel lol)
Ummm, Queen, dear ....

I'm not sure which thread you were reading, but nobody here has yet sympathized with the Isrealis about this story! Eek In fact, I believe everyone here's heart is going out to that 2-year-old and her family!!

I'm not sure what you think you read to get your bun all twisted up in a knot like that Big Grin ... but, it's better to go off on someone at a time when they really deserve it!

It's good to see you back!! But, try to calm down a little, sweetie! Smile
