Someone else, please answer him if you could...

"I believe in the brotherhood of man, all men, but I don't believe in brotherhood with anybody who doesn't want brotherhood with me. I believe in treating people right, but I'm not going to waste my time trying to treat somebody right who doesn't know how to return the treatment." Al-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz (aka Malcolm X)
There is a Religious & Spirituality Forum.

I too am tired of the mis-information about Islam. I studied it and 'associated' with sunni, Warith D. Muhammad African-American Muslims while in college... went to Jummah at the (International) Islamic Center, etc. Very good people, BTW.

Here is part of and argument on JESUS & CHRISTIANITY where I offered and Islamic perspective...
That was my first post. You took my FYI to be some snap at you for posting something religious in this general forum. You can think what you want but if I had no interest at all to explore whatever you wanted to discuss, I would not have continued and shared my "Islamic" background (however limited it was/is).

Instead of receiving it in the spirit of me showing what I may have in common with you, you got defensive right-off. I guess my saying that I also had a problem with the "mis-information [being spread] about Islam" didn't register with you nor did my personal experience.

You took the attitude that you could do and post whatever you wanted to post wherever you want to post it when there was no reason to do so. FYI simply means For Your Information - i.e. just so you know, in case you didn't know, in case you are interested, if you are interested, etc.

I said that - FYI - and kept right on talking. So logically, that was mentioned in passing. But, when you wanted to get snappy and claim that it was "relevant" for the reasons you gave, then I assessed the validity of your claims. And what do you know... your claims were weak if met at all.
Khalilallah and whatzgoingon thank you for your responses.

May the high praises of YAH be in their mouth and a two edged sword in their hand, To execute vengence on the peoples;to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles in shackles of iron,to carry out the sentence written against them.

Ive been through most of these post and this, I feel, is madness. What are you'll doing.

I originally wanted to post a response, but Im going to take this time to vent. Ive noticed many members on these boards are not able to share information as adults. When one disagrees, its no longer debate its just pride and stubborness. When good points are brought up many of you are to quick to ignore them because go on this I know best trip. Its gotten so bad that I hardly come on anymore. All this, what you'll have posted thus far is more damaging than helpful. I will admit, I didnt read the entire article(I read 80%)but it was interesting to me. I was ready to try to learn but as I went on I got discouraged and then somewhat arritaed.

To Deacans For Peace,

Im not on these boards to often but when I have been you were one not falling into this madness for lack of a better word. People please dont jump on me Im not talking about the majority. It just gets sickening some times.

I apologize...
although I can only assume so much as to whether you were talking about me or not since you didn't mention any name(s).

Not to make a big deal out of it... but if you have a difference with me, I'd appreciate it if you take it up with me specifically - by name - if that's the case. (I consider that adult...)

As far as being discouraged...
Immortal Logic asked and apparently received answers to his questions even after some initial animous. My point is that if we are "adults" then we can find a way to work through things as "adults" no matter how something starts or what kind of life it takes on.

Just as Immortal eventually got a satisfactory treatment... if you had raised points in hopes of gaining the understanding or information you desire then perhaps they would have been addressed and maybe your comments could have stirred this in a different direction.

I take your comments, I assume, in the spirit in which they are given (as constructive criticism). So I have no issue with you and I hope you don't feel like I'm "jumping on you"...
