looks like I'm gonna have to set you straight caribbeanflavored Djimon is mine, all mine, [insert evil laughing icon here] and his brother (still waiting for photo please!!) is qty226's... so watch out... he's taken already....LOL!

btw: u can see some pics of his gorgeousness in the eyecandy thread in Sistas Spot a while back

no no art_gurl he is mine but i'll let you borrow him from time to time. Wink but giirrrl, he has a brother? omg, i guess i'll have two men in my life now. lol.
I've never dated a white guy.....and i 'probably' never will. But, because of the fact that, so many black men have no issues dating outside of their race, and do so........leaves room for more black women living without love.

Actually im starting to see more black women, dating outside of their race.......and they seem happy.

Now Caribbeanflavored.....

Djimon belongs to Art_gurl....and i have his brother. Razz

Back off sista!!! lol

are you joking? boston is a couple of immigrants away from being a haitian republic. LOL. Most blacks in boston are from the caribbeans or africa anyway. you won't really find that many african-americans but there are some of course.

Yeah, i tried reading Krik Krak but i kept getting scary flashbacks of my trip to haiti: big bugs, older stalker "ish" men, and no cable
(shivering in a corner now)

hey gurl... to answer your question... USA=10% black pop, vs Australia=2.4%.
Australia is allowing more refuggee immigration from Sudan, and the rest of the pop is mostly white Australia, and a mix of European, Middle East, South East Asia incl. India + Sri Lanka. So the cities are it's quite multi-cultural and cosmopolitan. I'm white and live in a city, so I really enjoy the mix of cultures. There's diversity in the workplace and culturally and in types of food etc. tfro
.
I was a tad out with my percentages... more like USA=20% (right?) sorry.

Australia is quite a mixture of climates, we're an island surrounded by beaches, lol and we have a huge desert in the middle, also rainforest areas. Lots of natural beauty, unusual animals and lots of beautiful people - some conscious, some not. Some people here embrace and appreciate the beauty of Australian indigenous culture, others have their eyes closed.

do some close their eyes to indigenous cultures like the aboriginies?

btw, have you seen wolf creek... that horror movie set in wolf creek, australia?
I'm not gonna lie..... I would date a white guy.In fact I have before and almost all of the guys I have dated except 2(both were biracial) have been caucasian. Like for me there's that connection there and we can connect on so many levels. My last bf was biracial(mom was black dad was white) and I have never been so close to a guy as I was with him which lasted for 8 months, but hopefully we will run into eachother again one day.As far back as I can remember I've always been attracted to caucasian guys, but there were some instances where I would like an African American guy but they would blow me off for being "too white" or "preppy" and as the years went on it go so bad to the point of where a group of African American teenage guys (typical gangsta wannabes who were known to be rude and one had even gotten into a physical fight with his ex girlfriend) would constantly make sexual remarks towards me and I had told them many times that I didn't appreciate the way they treated me, and finally one day I had took all I could and reported all 5 of them for sexual harassment to our school's police officer. The sad part of that whole ordeal was that it lasted for weeks and the teacher wasn't any help so I took it to someone higher up.I'm not saying I would never date a black guy the right one just hasn't come along yet and to date someone you have to have that connection which most biracial and white guys give to me,but as of now I'm not feeling it towards anyone since I just got out of an 8th month relationship. But shouldn't relationships be about that special connection and feeling you get when your with someone and someone who loves and appreciates you for being you.

Seems like you got real identity issues, do you feel you relate more to white people than you do black?

make sexual remarks towards me and I had told them many times that I didn't appreciate the way they treated me, and finally one day I had took all I could and reported all 5 of them for sexual harassment to our school's police officer

Dam sista you sold the brothers out to the man!! what a shame

eah, i tried reading Krik Krak but i kept getting scary flashbacks of my trip to haiti: big bugs, older stalker "ish" men, and no cable

What ive learned about a lot of haitians is they have a huge complex problem.I thought black people here in the states were bad, but if your a mulatto you are regarded as beautiful, but if your black like 96% of haitians you usually catch hell, i mean look at who runs haiti, its really sad, I thought blacks in the states had a complex issue, its milld compared to haiti, maybe its that french shyt.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a young woman taking action to protect herself from harassment, Zakar.

There is no reason whatsoever why she should put up with such behavior. You are blaming the victim here.

For real.

I hope that was just a bad joke on your part, Zakar.
Thanks and the decision I made to stop my harassment was well thought out and after talking to some counselors at RAIN I thought my decision was well worth it because no women deserves to be treated that way by a guy ever and I cont give a damn if the guys were black, white, whatever it still was wrong and they deserved to be punished for it even when I told them that I didn't like it and it wrong. And no I don't have identity issues I feel because I have alot of guy friends who are African American and other minorities but as of now I'm not going to date anyone after ending an 8 month relationship.
Like I said ignorant people like you whith your thinking who hate on people for not being "black enough" is the reason our race has been opressed for so many years. It's the same thing with "light is better" and all that other B.S. I mean why spend so much time focusing on whats "black enough" or whats "white enough" when we all need to stick together and be united as one which isn't going to happen if there's hate within our own community.I mean seriously your grown so act like it.
