Not an excuse to get nasty... but what things bug you about women?

Women... let's listen up and not get defensive... we can start our own thread about men.

We're different and we think different... let's lay it on the table without paranoia or blame.
I'm curious if noone else is.... ?

That's all I have for now. I hope that wasn't too nasty. I'm just in a mood this weekend. It won't last long... promise.

My most favoritist movie line of all time says it all. In the movie As Good as It Gets Jack Nicholson plays a grouchy misanthropic writer who runs into one of his fans. She asks him how he's able to create such convincing female characters in his novels. He pauses... and then says

I think of a man... and then take away reason and accountability...

I saw this movie in the theater. I was with my girlfriend at the time. She didn't appreciate it when I fell down on the floor laughing my ass off at this line. But it speaks to me - and certainly described that girlfriend.

I must say this in advance...I am a huge fan of women..

However, there are some things about many women which baffles me..Here is my list of complaints:

1. Women are not completely honest when it comes to what kind of man they are attracted to. I am beginning to believe this is not really dishonesty but confusion. A woman will swear on a stack of bibles that she likes an intelligent, sophisticated, well groomed, go getter, and then be found crying desperately over some barely literate guy she met at work...

2. Women think that men can handle any criticsm because we have no emotions at all...If a man is affected by the words of a woman, she views him as overly sensitive...This comment alone will create that reaction

3. Women do not understand that they just can't do everything that a man does...

4. Women will keep a secret...But it will be kept among a close circle of confidants..Not only her secrets, she also tells them her man's secrets...

5. "How do I look in this" has only one acceptable reply...And women know this.

6. Men assemble for a card game,or maybe o football party, if the woman of the house walks into the room she will receive praises...When women get together Men are simply asking for it if they come into the room...What is up with that? Your woman will automatically become a stand up comedian...and you will be the object of all the jokes...

7. A women can grope a man anywhere..Anytime...and you better not complain...But if you try this at the wrong time...Oh you will be called every name in the "New and expanded version" of the book.

Ok..that is pretty much it.

Other than that I think women are the Best of God's creation...Thank You God...

My ex insisted on keeping the plunger in the utility closet... on the grounds that it was ugly... and she didn't want visitors to see it...

She coudn't quite see the logic of the fact that the thing was completely useless if a visitor couldn't find it when they needed it (which happened at least once btw)...

I'm not sure if this fits on the thread but I felt like sharing... Razz

PS: What's up with women and smelly frilly stuff in the john?

I don't want my girlfriend's girlfriends know that she caught me crying while I was watching "Beaches," "Brian's Song," "Old Yeller," "Saving Private Ryan," "Glory," "Born On The Fourth of July," "The Color Purple" and a whole lot of other stuff on TV and cable.

There are some Satanettes walking the earth, posing as women, and heaven forbid if you're dating one. She tells her girls how sensitive, you are, then you get weird looks from them, thinking you're weak or just a fragile hint of a man.

Or, they tell their boyfriends or husbands about how sensitive you are, then you fight your way out of a damn bar, because their girlfriends calling them emotionless Neanderthals, because they're not as emotionally well-rounded like "Huey."

And that's IF you have a woman. Why do women always keep the good guys as their friends, and nothing else, but date the jackass flavor of the month and cries whenever she couldn't "change him?"

Also, why is it that a heterosexual guy will get slapped or get charges on him when he either gropes or barely brushes up against a woman, but let a gay man grope all over a woman's body parts, all he says to her is "I'm gay, it doesn't do anything for me" and she lets it go, and allows him to keep feeling her up? Okay, but if you're not getting aroused or "it doesn't do anything" for you, why are you doing it in the first place?

That is probably one reason why I can't get into the show "Will & Grace." I hate it when Jack on "Will & Grace," feels up Karen and put his tongue down her throat. It's confusing to the viewers. If you like men, say you like men and go with that. Don't confuse us viewers and groping all over some woman like some wannabe porn star.

And what's wrong with that? I was alone. It was daytime. There was no sports on TV, and that was the only thing entertaining I could find.

(Voice breaking) It was a very moving story...sad(sniff) besides, my sister has the DVD. lolStop laughing. I need a hug.

Exactly! How can a woman slap a man, a total stranger, and NOT expect to get stabbed/shot/slapped back? That's how people get hurt or killed in clubs. I'm not mysogynist, but if I ask a woman to dance with me, and she slaps me, it better have been one helluva mosquito on my face.

I just skimmed this thread so if this has already been mentioned, well it just needs to be repeated...

It bugs me when women [I have yet to meet one that this doesn't apply] expect men to read their minds.

Or worst, get mad about God knows what, refuse to tell you what they're mad about, and even deny that they're mad. And then get even more pissed when after the 3rd inquiry as to what bothering them, the man proceeds based on what she has said, "Nothing is wrong."

That's new to me too... I've experienced a lot of straight up hard behavior from sistas.... but I've never been slapped....

Why do ladies always tug on their clothes? i.e. Pulling on skirts, dresses, sweaters and jackets.

How did you leave the house without knowing what the clothes looked like on your body? Either buy better fitting clothes or stop being self-conscious if someone looks at what you're wearing.

Also, why do women tie a shirt/jacket around their waists in the gym? It has to get in the way of exercising. Either feel comfortable in your form-fitting workout wear or buy some baggy sweats.

And ladies, if you want a bad boy or a good one, say you want one. Don't date a bad boy and try to make him "good." You're just customizing or "pimping" out your thug as if he was a car. The only person you can change is yourself.

I've seen guys who weren't thuggish, and some women rather have them as just a friend than as a boyfriend, because he's already good to her. I guess making a bad boy go good, gives that woman a sense of pride that she "created" the new him, like from a beat-up jalopy, into a new pimped-out Lexus.

And if you fail to change him, don't blame ALL men for your bad taste in picking boyfriends, especially if you knew that he was no good in the first place. If you know he's no good, leave him alone. Don't even try to change him.

Ladies, stop trying to put my name on your insecurities. I am not your serially cheating father, brother or ex.

Or, if you must, acknowledge that your insecurity is your insecurity.

And, while I'm at it ...

Ladies, regarding that complicating thought, before you say or do anything, asking yourself the following question will make your relationships go much more smoothly:

"Is this complicating thought a hill that I'd be okay with my relationship dying on?"

If the answer is yes, and the relationship dies, move on. It was your decision. Accept it. If the answer is anything other than yes, drop it. But I guess that is what grown folks do.
