I submit to you a slightly different take.

Perchance, the man only has to focus on that one knob, because the woman is handling all the others?

He gets to hone in on that ONE, MEASLY knob, while the woman keeps ALL those remaining knobs balanced and in check. 1

True dat, but in the majority of cases, despite any discussions otherwise, that one switch or knob is responsible for the availability & substance of all those other knobs.

Also, who's going to fix it when it breaks?

Many things in life require a "simple" or DIRECT solution... perhaps you are paying too much attention to the NUMBER of knobs on the "woman" machine instead of their PRACTICAL function....

Actually, this joke should be insulting to women... if you pay CLOSE attention to the machines the only designated functions they have are ON and OFF.... this is LOGICALLY and DIRECTLY identifiable on the one labled "Man" in the form of ONE switch which is all that's needed. Where on the "Woman" machine is her ON or OFF switch?....That makes the "Woman" machine unnecessarily complicated and impractical.

Not that I personally agree this is true about all women.... Just thought I would point this out.
