Judge Admits To Sending “Obama’s Mom Had Sex With Dog” E-Mail
With the subject of the e-mail reading “A Mom’s Memory,” this is what Judge Cebull sent out to his peers on President’s Day:
Normally I don’t send or forward a lot of these, but even by my standards, it was a bit touching. I want all of my friends to feel what I felt when I read this. Hope it touches your heart like it did mine.
“A little boy said to his mother; ‘Mommy, how come I’m Black and you’re White?’ His mother replied, ‘Don’t even go there Barack! From what I can remember about that party, you’re lucky you don’t bark!’”
Cebull came clean Wednesday, after admitting he sent the e-mail to seven people, including himself. Apparently tickled pink by the joke at the time, Cebull claims he’s not racist and that the e-mail was never meant for public commentary.
“It was not intended by me in any way to become public,” Cebull said. “I apologize to anybody who is offended by it and I can obviously understand why people would be offended.”
Racism must run in the Cebull family, as the judge’s own brother was the person who forwarded him the tasteless joke. He then sent the e-mail on to some of his friends and associates. This week, though, Cebull continued his “I’m-not-racist” tap dance in further comments:
“This is a private thing that was, to say the least, very poor judgment on my part,” Cebull said. “I did not forward it because of the racist nature of it. Although it is racist, I’m not that way, never have been.”
Good luck with that, Cebull, but you’re not fooling anybody.
