You are right. I read all the time. I read about traditional African religions, mostly by John S. Mbiti. He is one of the major authorities on African religion, though he has his critics, especially about African conceptions of time and space compared to Western conceptions of time and space. But he also stresses that there are more than 4,000 religions in Africa and many more cultures than that. So when we talk about "Africa" or "Europe" or "Asia" we should be careful not to think of these continents as being too homogenous. The key is to look for major characteristics, major commonalities, major behaviors, that are obvious. Anyway this has been a great discussion. Who would have thought that such a profound discussion could come from talking about porn. I need to talk about porn more often then.

Introduction to African Religion by John S. Mbiti is one of my favorite books! It taught me soooooo much. I'm going to have to read it again so I can get more out of it now that I'm older...
