The word feminism was CREATED by Europeans.  There are no words that express the POWER of African women.  Cuz it is because of them and African American women here that OUR rich culture [despite the many slave genocides from both Europe and Arab] STILL exist.  So for me it;s like when the Roman first laid eyes on the beauty of the African Queen and was amazed and stunned at her thousands of years legacy of being in charge of the world's center of knowledge[cuz their women weren't even considered equals or citizens unless they were part of royalty].  It was his goal to FINISH destroying and dismantling what Min had started on the onset of Patriarchal rule over Egypt.  And it's been on and cracking against us EVERY since.  But!

Yeah that. Exactly.

How much is this an issue of Patriarchal versus Matriarchal societies.

Feminism may make a degree of sense for women in a Patriarchal culture.  But what does it mean in a Matriarchal culture.  But then what happens to a minority matriarchy inside a majority patriarchy?  There are too many simultaneous factors.

What is Patriarchal and Matriarchal cultures are both wrong, but in different ways?  If Black boys are being sabotaged by the patriarchal educational system then Black women are still stuck with the results.

What.  Exactly. Do. You. Mean by that my brotha?  Trivial?  You think forcing FGM on unsuspecting women/girl is an NOT important issue? Well it Is the same exact THANG if someone would CUT off the penis of a man [and keep the sacks for procreation later on] leaving a small hole for urine to escape.  And if that were the case for men?  Would it STILL be trivial?  .  Please don't minimize this horrible display of barbarism against women in those countries.  Already we are in the 21st century and women on the other side of the world still have to worry about being violated in the most hedious and private way.  No man, no culture, no village, no religion, no dogma, no societal rule HAS the RIGHT to dismember another human being.  And because of this uncivilized stigma, these places keep education and current events AWAY from women who they wanna keep DUMB about what it means to be a FREE HUMAN BEING.

But!  Having said all that, you know I'm not gonna through all of the reasons why FGM was NEVER a good social practice for women-cuz it merely benefits the men who can parade around sexually abusing young children while covering up women from the head down..because of their social insecurities about what it may mean to be a man-cuz they don't DO ANYTHING to earn that title.  So Ima gonna leave that alone.  It just disappoints me to hear this from an intelligent individual.

However I can't get away from the word trivial.  Cuz not of importance or of little worth or value...is exactly what trivial means.  I'm really trying hard to wrap my head about your statement.  So my brotha are you REALLY saying that it's trivial for women to have ownership to their OWN bodies?  And it's trivial to expect to have YOUR FULL PRIVATE PARTS intact without fearing someone will come after you with a rusty razor or a dull knife found on the side of the road aimed at destroying what is between your legs?  Really?  Wow!  If this is NOT what you mean by that comment....please by all means explain.  Cuz I really wanna understand.   But

I dunno.  Merely cuz those in patriarchal societies DENY that matriarchal societies existed to the point being in control of entire cultures.  It is not believed that women had that kind of sense.

Feminism may make a degree of sense for women in a Patriarchal culture.  But what does it mean in a Matriarchal culture.

We can;t know that.  Cuz the true martriarchal system doesn't exist anymore.  What we do know about matriarchal rule from a male standpoint is merely conjecture.  Can't depend on that for facts.

But then what happens to a minority matriarchy inside a majority patriarchy?  There are too many simultaneous factors.

Cuz the factors about matriarchy is male speculation.  They probably DESTROYED any evidence.  Cuz why?  That's what conquerors do.

What is Patriarchal and Matriarchal cultures are both wrong, but in different ways?

My only comparison to that is.....matriarchy used no violence or wars to establish intelligent civilizations.  Patriarchal rule cannot make that claim cuz every where they conquered they upsurged the culture and transited the knowledge into their own culture.  In other words, what they conquered they claImed.  As why you will see many monuments of cultures conquerd disfigured so that one cannot determined what it is.  Brilliant!

If Black boys are being sabotaged by the patriarchal educational system then Black women are still stuck with the results.

Exactly.  It is almost as if patriarchal education undo and dismantles the social and intellectual training of the child once he enters the public world.  And we have been in trouble every since.  But!

Okay.  Maybe this is a comment that probably needs to be heard in real time i.e. in person.  Cuz if you read it just as it is...in my mind anyway...it is saying "some are not trivial....like FGM"[is].  I guess it is one of those statements that can carry a life of its own and can be perceived in dual meanings if it is read the wrong way-which is what you suggest I've done.  So in that I apologize to you my brotha. I was absolutely stunned at what I thought you were saying  only cuz  I've always viewed YOU as an extremely intelligent man.  Whew!  Thank God I misread your comment.  Cuz I was really getting concerned.  Again...I apologize.  But!.
