My response,
Yes! Yes you are a racist?

Truth is undoubtedly the sort of error that cannot be refuted because it was hardened into an unalterable form in the long baking process of history... Michel Foucault Hope begets many children illegitimately and prematurely. Allie M. Frazier Beware the terrible simplifiers... Jacob Burckhardt

The wacked out part about it is they tried to use Jesse Jackson's statement essentially charging that no self-respecting BLACK person could be against health care reform as a way to find cover for their White hysteria.

I'm like... wait a minute... 98% of ya'll in the video don't even qualify as "Black", let alone a Black person of sound mind and body... looking out for the interest of most African-Americans and/or the most needy African-Americans.

Somebody should tell the people in the video that answering a question that wasn't directed towards you is a clear sign that you're telling on yourself vs. pre-empting or combating charges made against you.
Repeat after me.

I am not racist.

Now make it a wish.

Every person raised in America is racist.

Every person in America thinks in terms of race..., and makes decision based on race.

Most if not all decisions made regarding a person that does not look like you is made in defiance of race teachings and past behaviors.

We are all therefore racists in various stages of recovery.

Some of us are simply doing better than others.

Some of us are simply (not) doing as well as others.

Yes we are all racist.

We learn our lessons well.

PEACE

I believe i read some stats that said something like this:

11% of whites are uninsured
19% of blacks are uninsured
39% of Hispanics are uninsured

Even so, whites have greater raw numbers of uninsured people and yet they are allowing themselves to be propagandized into protesting against their own interests.  Propaganda has convinced a chunk of them that health care reform would not benefit any white people since the gov't is only out to take money from them and redistribute it to minorities who don't "work hard" and want the "government to do everything for them" and "waiting on a handout" so therefore don't deserve health.

Anti-reform White people aren't the only people hooked on the spin.  Mentally challenged Black people on this board keep doing their best to show how propaganda works across America's racial landscape.  In fact, a certain Black individual on this board was just using the same bs line about minorities, Black people in this case, wanting the government to do EVERYTHING for them/us.

The funny thing about it is how this street corner logic parading as pro-Black wisdom or resolve ends up demonstrating the opposite.  Maybe that's the whole point, as unwitting as it may be.

Like the tea party Whites, these faux pro-Black patriots justify protesting against their political interest by wrapping themselves in the flag of self-reliance because it's cool to wave the flag.  That Black people taxes go towards policies that disregard Black people's concerns, ignore Black people's conditions and ends up benefiting other people more than them... we'll, it's cool to wave the flag.  It's easier to camouflage the mental illness of internalized racism and defeatism that way.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this conservative leaning trend.
