I never saw this video. How cute. I feel sorry for Will in that you cannot ever think your family is perfect. Plus he has a secret life too. And his children are a reflection of that secret. I KNEW Jada was gonna get busted. Cuz she was too perfect. But the look on Will's face during that interview....priceless. He looked so hurt but this could be for publicity cuz the rating of their face to face interview....broke records. But life is not as perfect as everybody wants to pretend it is. It has flaws People have flaws. What is perfection? Imperfection. But!
You know as I was thinking about this....so much of Will and Jada story is on social media these days. I remember back when Will was on Oprah talking shit about his manifesto-his outlook on life. How it had to be this way and that way. I recall the arrogance of what he felt he would not accept in terms of his personal life. The reality is: he got bamboozled by what he saw on the outside i.e. the male gaze interpretation of beauty. Rumors were that Jada was kinda wild. Hangin out with Tupac whom she went to the school of arts with. But it was more than that with her. And although she stepped down a little after she got married and how she could have entered into the music business on her own(cuz she can sing just as well as any other pretentious female rapper), she used her "beauty" instead to get what she wanted from men Cuz she was an alright actress but what she mainly sold was "the sexy image" in most [not all] of the earlier films I've seen. So. Will looked at that tight "young" body, that pretty face and bought into that interpretation of beauty and married her without ever seeking her true characteristics as a human being. Now he looks crushed. Cuz his manifesto didn't work. He wanted his family to stay together no matter what and make that money. Thought he could run his family like a ship while hiding an open secret. So. Can't do everything for money-Denzel tried to tell him. Will even tried to create a family business through making movies with his kids. That didn't work either-the children didn't want any part of it. They rebelled. The lesson? That wall of deceit will always come down sooner or later. I've seen it happen in real life-especially when you look for happiness from outside in instead of from the inside out. What a hurtful lesson. All of it tells the story on his face. But!
Will seems broken...but what can he do now? this happened 4 years ago. I hope they can survive this and find inner peace. They both have very public careers and their stories are bound to be front page news. I guess if you have to have drama, it must be nice to cry in a mansion.
