Hello Everyone. Let me introduce myself. My name is Kocolicious. I am a teacher. I teach African American music history. I am child advocate from the "old school." I have been observing this board prior to joining [stuck my toe in the water first].

I am a novice at this new technology of communicating, however, I am both delighted and excited to take part in some stimulating and insightful discussions!

thanks This is a photo taken from Bahia, Brazil. The land of Black sistahood. These beautiful ladies represent the positive spirit of black women in Bahia-colorful, happy with full knowledge of their African culture. A mecca for black women's rediscovery of "self." This photo is my "muse/inspiration" cuz it reminds me of easter sundays with my sisters growing up......

Bahia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was just listening to a song by Angelique Kidjo called Bahia.... it is sooo beautiful....


I can definitely understand why you chose it.... I was immediately drawn to it...

and frankly, it was a welcome pleasantry in my day....
