Although I have great love for X, my vote stays the same...MLK all the way.
Malcolm. He was a gentle souled straight up warriour with a razor sharp mind and too much honesty for his own good. I relate more to that.
El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. My brother in the struggle and my brother in Islam.
I chose Mandela. His story must be absolutely facinating.

Malcolm X (for purely social reasons)

Malcolm X.
His evolution was most directed toward a parity position for African Americans in our society.
PEACE

MLK, Jr. On Monday, I listened again to his sermon in 1967 at the Riverside Church in NY when he comes out against the war in Vietnam. It is rhetorically, philosophically, and theologically masterful.
Nelson Mandela- Incredible man who did so much for South Africa. Imprisoned for many years because he fought against apartheid and still was able to stay strong in the fight for his people and became President.
Malcolm X for the same reasons stated above...quote:Originally posted by HonestBrother:

Malcom, Message to the Grassroots, Ballot or the Bullet, African Unity Rally, the brother was brilliant!!!!
MLK ALL THE WAY
X.
Just cuz.
Just cuz.
Talk about tough choices!
I'd like to meet them all - all are inspiring and important figures who 'walked the talk'.
However, I choose Nelson Mandela... because I would want to ask him how he could keep his soul and spirit alive for such a long time under extreme and impossible conditions. I would want to sit next to and breathe the same air as someone so incredible and enduring as he is. Because I could never imagine or contemplate the ability or moral courage and endurance he possesses. I think Nelson is a National, no, International Treasure.
