Do you prefer a man who wears boxers or briefs?

Who is still wearing briefs???

Given the people who frequent this side of the board can have some pretty explicit discussions, I'm sure this topic has been created before. However, are you women just as turned off as I am at the sight of a man wearing man-panties? Or perhaps I just have some kind of neurotic fetish. To get to the point, I'm dating this guy, and while changing in the bathroom, I noticed him wearing a pair of white man-panties. I'm used to seeing guys wear boxer shorts, but he had on a pair of man-panties, and I simply did not know what to do. I wanted to ask him of all the many different kinds of underwear from which men can choose today, why he could not have made a more modern selection. For those women who do not know what man-panties are, they are briefs that men wear to keep their sac knobs in place, but in my view, they are just funky and old-fashioned. That is why I don't like them, and I prefer men not wear them in my presence. Please answer.

Note: Men may read and reply to this discussion, but this is really a private question that I wanted to ask the sisters. Thank you.

You do not need to apologize Brother Folobatuyi. As embarressing as this question is, I welcome your reply. To answer your question, yes, I prefer men wear boxers. I think the only people who should wear panties are women. Since you are studying the medical profession, however, perhaps you could provide a medical justification for why men should wear briefs versus boxers? Being made aware of a medical explanation would probably help me to find this choice of underwear more acceptable. If there is no medical explanation or justification for why men should wear briefs, I cannot think of any reason why men should wear them.

Boxer shorts are not as popular here as in the USA. I shuddered to call them men panties, brrrrr..... Eek but I guess you mean men's regular briefs?

More guys here now wear the fitted Calvin Klein-type type fitted boxer leg shape, (see Eye Candy thread) but less wear the silky, baggy ones.

Boxer shorts are more flattering, but 'briefs' are more slimline under fitted trousers/suits.

Nothing nicer than to see your guy wearing nothing more than nice boxers, lounging around at the kitchen table.
Heck, I don't really care as long as the body wearing them is lean and trim. M-mm. tfro

My wife has the same issue...she HATES white briefs.

I don't own any. I haven't worn any since I was in my early 20s? I may have to try the fitted boxers. I hate that boxers don't really support the family jewels. Big Grin

It's funny because when I was younger I thought boxers were for old men. I remember my uncle sitting around his room in them...and his nut sack hanging out...yuck.

I suppose my disdain for briefs is derived from a similar experience. My father wears this type of underwear, mainly because during the time when he came up, standard briefs were all that were available. However, the underwear industry has changed. If it is support that men desire, an alternative to the brief, is the fitted boxer. In my view, the fitted boxer is really sexy, though it is my understanding, based on my reading the responses, some larger sized men cannot wear these either. I once dated a guy who had an unusually large scrotum (nut sack). I mean, his scrotum was REALLY HUGE in comparison to his penis. Wearing boxers would not have been an option for him, I suppose.

Yes sister, those are the underwear to which I am referring. I realize that for some male readers, this discussion may feel degrading and embarressing. This is why, initially, I created the discussion as a "Women Only" thread to avoid offense. If men decide to join the discussion, they will have to be responsible for their own reaction to what is being read. However, despite some men's reaction, I genuinely do not like to see men wearing briefs. And in fact, before becoming intimate, I would get turned off by the sight of them. Boxers, in my opinion, are a lot less formal in appearance.

Sister Frenchy, if seeing boxers are what you are used to seeing, then how do you know if you would not care if you were to ever encounter a man who wears briefs? You know I realize that what type of underwear a man wears is not as important as knowing other characteristics about him, such as whether or not he is responsible, honest, etc., but every discussion that we have in the Sistas Spot does not have to relate to these qualities, do they?

Because I have seen men in their briefs as well. Just not as often as men in boxers.

That's actually not what I was referring to at all. I just plain old don't really care what type of underwear men have on.

well to be blunt...i would kindly let him know up front that briefs are tired and really suggest that he has no clue. it also indicates that he is approaching 50 or so...or perhaps he is from abroad. either way my perception of men that wear briefs are tuned out and need a reality check....they are not masculine!!!!Go buy him some new draws..boxer briefs...these are the happy medium!!!!!

My avatar is the great Sergio Oliva - but trust me - years of weight training have made it very difficult for me to buy clothes off the rack. The last time I bought a suit, I needed a 52 regular to accomodate my shoulders & back. The coat sleeves had to be redone to fit my arms and the pants basically had to be remade (when you take more than 2 inches out of the waist everything has to be revented & recut).

Back on topic - bikinis cover all the essentials and the high cut in the front doesn't constrict my legs. Anything else starts to bunch when I walk.

P.S. I'm not wearing a thong unless there are some $$ $$ flying laugh

Brother Ddouble, is the extreme fitness worth all of the inconvenience that you experience? Also, I'm sure you realize that there is a difference between looking physically fit and being healthy. I once saw a documentary program on TLC showcasing female body builders who were obessively concerned about competing in body-building and body-sculpting competitions. Their bodies looked as if they were sculpted by hand, and visually, they appeared fit and healthy, but they ate like pigs out of a gutter. Their diets consisted mainly of foods high in sugar (in order to make the veins pop out) and junk food (e.g. sugar donuts, lots of candy, sugar juices like "Gatorade" and "Kool-Aid," etc.). They looked like hell. Apparently, all of their focus was on looking fit, but no attention was paid to their health. Do you eat like that?

Certainly, but I enjoy removing the clothing first before intimacy takes place, so what the brother is wearing as undergarments is important. After removing the loose jewelry and timepiece, shirt, pants, socks, and then t-shirt, if I were to discover him wearing Batman-like underwear, this could prove to be a problem. Likewise, I doubt if any men participating in the discussion would want to see the woman to whom he is about to make love wearing her grandmother's panties. That is why I invest in high quality lingerie, because YES it is important.

I've seen body builders at the gym.......and i've noticed that they walk differently because of the muscles.

I can see why you wear bikinis......so that you dont have to deal with the extra bulk on your legs.

I'm healthy - thanks for the concern kiss I have my annual physical and regular check ups. I started training to "look good", but it's a hobby & stess reliever now. I don't buy suits often because of the hassle. It's been a couple of years since I've bought one. Wide leg dress pants are a godsend bow - I get leg room and only have to get the waist altered (without the recut). Add that to a blazer (with minor alterations for the arms) and I'm good.

What you saw in that documentary was probably precontest (most likely the last few days before a contest) eating. The 'normal' diet is much healthier - it's probably 2-4 times more food than most people eat though. ohsnap

And I wear boxer-briefs, and boxers. I prefer boxer-briefs, especially longer ones that go about halfway down the thigh, because I like the look, and the support. But it's hard to find good ones, so I flesh out my u-wear assortment with boxers. I don't think you're gay if u wear tightie-whities, but I just don't think they look good. It's like wearing knee-high socks, or wearing your pants with the belt line above your belly button. They look kind of nerdy to me.

Should a man be able to tell you that your big, harness Platex bra is unsightly because he prefers cute, low-cut, barely-covers-the-nipple types? That to hell with your support, let them bad boys hang down to your knees because support bras make you look like a lesbian?

I think it's fine you have a preference for the type of underwear you like to see a man in. But actually getting turned off by the type of underwear a man wears or terming a man to be in any way "gay" because of whatever type of male underwear he chooses to wear seems a little drastic to me!

Now, it he were in a pair of bikini-cut women's panties .... Roll Eyes

Unless I was a horse being hauled into the air, I would never be seen in a "Platex harness," especially considering there are plenty of bras available that can provide both support and style. But I appreciate your constructive critcism. Thanks for chiming in Sister Ebony!
