Listen to the song and then read the YouTube comments. Regardless to ones position for or against homosexuality there is an undeniable effort to label and silence anyone from expressing a non accepting view, be it in the form of song, article or serious discussion.
Reading some of the comments (if they're taken on value) also shows the effect of allowing/not challenging the comparison of "gay rights" to the Black struggle. Make note of the reporting for "hate speech" although the author makes explicitly clear what he doesn't condone.
BTW...there has been serious and strong discussions in hip hop circles involving the re imaging of Hip Hip to what is deemed acceptable by white society.
