Frum Accuses Serena Williams Of Steroids Use, Former Bush Speechwriter Quickly Deletes Tweets

David Frum, a political commentator and a former speechwriter for President George W. Bush, took to Twitter to accuse Serena Williams of steroids use after the Tennis player won her eighth Wimbledon women’s World Championship.

Frum almost instantly deleted the posts, before then admitting that they were meant for a private conversation. Raw Story, via the Grio, managed to screen-capture Grum’s tweets before he deleted them off his @davidfrum account, though.

Frum wrote, “Not to allege against Serena — again I don’t know — but she’s not above the question.” He then followed this up with, “Fans don’t want to know.” Frum then finally tweeted, “Maybe. But consider how long sports press looked away from McGuire Armstrong et al.”

A few days before these messages were posted, Frum also took uploaded the following provocative post.

David Frum, who is now a senior editor for the Atlantic and the Chairman for the Policy Exchange, was quick to take down the messages. He then insisted that they were meant for a private conversation with a friend.

Serena Williams claimed her eighth Wimbledon women’s title on Saturday after defeating 20th seed Garbine Murguruza 6-4, 6-4. She is widely regarded as the greatest female tennis player of all time, and she is currently the reigning Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, U.S. Open, WTA Tour Championships, and Olympic women’s singles champion.

Williams currently has a record of 36 Grand Slam titles, having amalgamated 21 singles, 13 women’s doubles, and two mixed doubles titles.

they just can't give us credit.  I think, much like Boxing, they are looking for a Great White Hope.  Sorry, but Serena is wonderful...she a great person on and off the court.  I guess the GOP is having a relapse...first, it was Trump 'being honest' and now this guy.

...and they wonder why the GOP is not loved by the coloreds

Serena is not taking steroids, she's just been play tennis ALL HER LIFE.

To all the racist haters out there:

Don't hate Serena because she actually eats food, and does not go put her finger down her throat to vomit it all back up after every meal, or because she's not on some drug(s) that they coincidentally do not test for, or because she does not have the body of a 12-year old boy, or the body of a wig on a stick.

Don't hate Serena because of your racist jealousy/

Racist haters like conservative David Frum knows Serena is the greatest ever in THE white dominated sport of tennis and now keeps company with the all time greatest ever; basketball's Michael Jordan, hockey's Wayne Gretesky, soccer's Pele' and baseball's Hank Aaron.

Typical of what racist Whites do regarding purposed negative tweeting and once the  media fish swallows the hook, then deleting on purpose because they want to start/stir "controversial" conversation.

This is the Serena tennis match I loved.

During the 2012 Olympics in London when Serena Williams played Russia's Maria Sharapova,

The announcers said Serena was in the US for some reason and on her way flying back to London to play the Olympic match.

She showed up about a hour before the match, won the match in 45 minutes winning the most lopsided women's final in Olympic history Saturday by beating Sharapova 6-0, 6-1. Then got back on the plane and went back to the US to finish whatever she was doing.

That's bad ass.

As I said, she sits all alone on the jewel crusted throne atop the tennis pyramid (men and women) and they have no choice but to stubbornly (with tears in their eyes) bow down, get on your White racist privileged knees, praise and worship her.

An "exclusive club" white privileged sport totally dominated by a Black woman from the hood.

They have no choice.

Dubai Tennis Championships: Serena Williams complains drug tests are not fair

DUBAI // Serena Williams has questioned the financial efficiency of the International Tennis Federation following calls by leading men's players for an increase in anti-doping measures.

Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, the world's two top-ranked male players, have said in recent weeks that more blood tests should be carried out to ensure the sport remains as clean as they believe it to be.

Federer, while conceding funding is an issue, suggested the four grand slam hosts could provide help with finances, but Williams, the women's world No 1, yesterday said she is already frequently tested both in and out of competition and instead questioned where the ITF money is being spent.

It is understood tennis spends US$1.3 million (Dh4.7m) on drug testing annually, yet in 2011 - the most recent statistics available - the ITF performed only 21 out of competition blood tests from a total of 131.

The frequency of testing has increased in the past year but questions remain.

Djokovic, the three-time Australian Open winner, said last month in Melbourne that he had not been blood tested for "six or seven months", while, in contrast, Rafael Nadal said in Chile last week during his comeback from a seven-month absence that he had been blood tested three times in that same period.

Williams suggested she feels she has been tested more than most.

"I get drug tested a lot - all the time," the 31 year old told The National.

"I don't know about anybody else on the Tour, maybe [the ITF] put all their money into drug testing me.

"I get blood tests, so I don't understand - maybe they should branch out a little bit."

As it stands, tennis employs a system that demands players keep authorities up to date with their whereabouts for one hour each day, allowing for random out of competition tests. Williams said that, regardless of where she is in the world, the testers will often appear, joking she should visit less far-flung destinations to assist them.

"They are always at my house. It doesn't matter if I am in Paris or [the United States]. I was literally in Mauritius and they were there - and, you know, Mauritius is really far, let me tell you. So, I guess they spend all the money on tickets to come where I travel ..."

Williams is in an exotic location once again this week as she prepares to compete in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, an event she has failed to win in two previous attempts.

The 15-time major winner, officially reinstated as the world No 1 on Monday after reaching the final of the Qatar Open last week, said theUAE's $2m tournament has been marked on her calendar for months.

"I've never won here and it's the one tournament that I really want to do well in this year," Williams said. "I've been looking forward to coming here. There's a feeling that you have made it if you come to Dubai and certainly where I am from, it is this city that people want to travel to."

The US Open and Olympic champion is the overriding favourite at the Aviation Club this week following yesterday's withdrawal of the top seed Victoria Azarenka through injury.

Victory this week would complete a remarkable two-year period for Williams, who has gone from laid flat on her back in hospital to becoming the sport's oldest ever top-ranked woman.

"I haven't really had a lot of time to reflect because it has been so much, so fast," she said.

"It is literally two years ago that I was in the hospital, so definitely looking back it is pretty awesome and incredible to achieve so much."

Williams faces Marion Bartoli of France tonight on centre court.

It seems the ITF and outside hater sources are trying to purposely find steroids or any type of performance enhancing drugs in Serena's system and place a permanent and questionable sports asterisk (*) on Serena's many accomplishments the very same as major league baseball did to Barry Bonds.

The all-time home run king of baseball that has not allowed him to be inducted into the baseball hall of fame on the first ballot that has already passed and to this day, he's still not inducted and probably won't be for many years.

Their reasoning?

The physical muscular changes of Barry Bonds as he got older. muscular and better.

Sounds the very same with Serena despite her always top to bottom, genetics based muscular size, power and strength yet she's at age 33, older, stronger and better conditioned mentally and physically when most veteran pro athletes at that early 30's age are approaching decline and in pro tennis, most tennis pros both men and woman who started as young teenagers, don't play into their 30's.

They never found any proof of Bonds using steroids as he played and in court, also  wasn't proven but the accusations is really all that matters.

The asterisk is the "court of public opinion" prison sentence for accomplished great pro athletes and especially for pro athletes the critics hate.

Can't defeat Serena on the tennis court so we will try and destroy her #1, championship tennis legacy.

"How in the world is she still at age 33, be able to keep up with power, quickness and conditioning defeating these younger tennis players at her advanced tennis age so easy?"

"Something is highly suspect and she needs to be seriously investigated".

They're after her.

Be very careful Serena.

People that really play tennis develop muscular body frames, especially in their legs or arms.

In fact, people should be questioning tennis players that have been playing as long as Serena and yet, haven't developed not an ounce of muscle or muscle tone; hell, that's like being professional runner, a long distance runner, all your life and always being fat.

So, the question isn't if Serena is taking steroids, the question is how in the hell can anyone that lacks all the muscle and/or muscle tone needed to be able to play even almost as well as Serena even as good as they are.

But, it sure serves as a big distraction, to try to keep the questions on Serena, and not them.
