Now, thats funny...how is my response

I merely answered Rap's questions...

...and what is constructive in your mind? I think a lot of people contributed constructively here.

But again, if we happen to believe in the concept of Christianity, we're just

LOL...

In the words of many, many, many Black Mama's who came before me, "Ya'll Need Jesus!"

Next time, maybe ask the guy if he is in fact intolerant... Wouldn't hurt. You know what they say about assumptions.

If he's anything like you that won't help much... since he'd have to know what intolerant means in order to answer the question.

Then we'd have to hope he doesn't use "blah" to try and formulate an answer...
Whether you agree or no makes not a bit of difference to me, however loooog reponses that rebuke w/o fundamentla reference are suspect of being hot air with no exhaust.

I do not post blindly. When I make a statement it has been thoroughly researched.

BlackViking,

It took you that long to come up with... nothing?
Definition? Well with a name like blackviking I should expect you to be obsessed with oxymorons. I'll give you this, there were probably just as many black vikings as there are Christian bigots. Hows that? Not to say they didn't exist, just probably not worth mentioning. Unless there name is Adrian Peterson and they got snubbed for the All-Pro team this year...

Fine,

HA!!! Nothing about you speaks constructive. You may as well call me a construction worker as far as this topic is concerned. You posted this garbage/article and have yet to defend it's position. If I write an article please don't post mines, cause I don't want you gettin me ripped to shreds.

Koco,

Huh?

---------------------------------

You guys should just go ahead and plead no contest to YOUR bigotry.

BlackViking,

I don't run on "HeruStar Time".

And besides... you have yet to qualify this bs about "Christian" and "Bigot" somehow being in contradiction or mutually exclusive. That's the challenge that I brought to you with the actual definitions of the words.

If you can't do that, then just admit that you're wrong, and that there are just as many (if not more) Christian bigots as there are any other kind of bigot. Particulalry when it's a monotheistic religion and exclusive by the very nature of it's doctrine. And even more so that there is so much fuel in that doctrine to support a bigoted mindset.

I've got to hand it to you HeruStar... it took you a little longer to call me out on my screen name than it does most bigots. It's usually the very first tactic used by folks like you when they get backed into a corner. But you? You held on for several pages.

Well done! appl

The Christian God is a compromising God. The Christian God is a flexible God. If the Christian God were obstinate and unflexible in His approach, then Judaism or Christianity wouldn't exist (and as far as Christians are concerned people wouldn't exist). Jesus' doctrine is about compassion, love, and forgiveness.

Compassion
Forgiveness
Love

or...

Obstinate
Intolerance
Hatred

I don't see how one can have a Christian attitude and an bigoted attitude.

Did you even read the doctrine?
Now who's in the corner?

Show me bigoted Doctrine?

Show me where Jesus was intolerant, obstinate, or displayed hatred?

Corner?

Ha!!!!!!!!!!!

As a matter of fact show me ANYTHING coherent.

The very nature of bigotry (since we're talking about the nature of things now) is HATRED. The nature of Christianity is love.

Show me how HATRED and LOVE aren't mutually exclusive?

Corner?

hmm...

What kind of bs can he spout?
Bigotry doesn't neccesarily have to imply hatred?
hmm...
That's a flat out lie.

Christianity promotes hatred through by the "very nature of it's doctrine".
hmmm...
Another lie...

So Oxy-MORON
The only thing you can do is LIE in order to weasle your way out of this one.

Don't worry...

I'll wait
munch

Also...

Were you implying that exclusivity supports bigotry?
Wait... ofcourse you were.
Well again,
Explain to me how you've manage to take out the key ingredient to bigotry, which is hatred?

You are not the first bigot on this board to a kick in the face by reason and logic, then respond with some weak-azz masturbation on my screen name.

That response won't cut it... ok
He also says don't cast your pearls to swine.

Basically,

Don't put too much energy into someone that isn't going to appreciate the value/quality that you are putting forth.

He told her that because, well take his conversation for instance, I'm taking children's bread and throwing it to dogs, because no matter what I say, the anti-Christians here will still leave this discussion believing exactly what they want to believe. So when retorted to Jesus, she was basically letting Him know. I want to know. I am ready to be receptive.

so...

Come again

That statement stands on nothing.

The different cultural viewpoints on slavery in modern and ancient times IS relevant. The difference between Ancient Christian Doctrine and modern application of that Doctrine doesn't relate.

So you have changed your logic then, and your 'X-tian origin of Free speech' and all the other things you've mentioned are also BS based on your new reasoning because...

To say that is to say, narrow-mindedness is hatred.

Where did you get that from? Or is this a philosophical theorem HeruStar concocted for HeruStar

you might wanna check the page where he put up he definition of bigotry.

I didn't change a darn thing...

The two comparisons do not RELATE.

Make them RELATE for me...

Until then

I NEVER said I knew everything....and quite frankly I DON'T know everything. It's impossible! But you come in here all knowledge mighty with a snot-nose full of arrogance and it only SHOWS CLEARLY how much you DON'T KNOW! So munch fro
Word History: Bigots may have more in common with God than one might think. Legend has it that Rollo, the first duke of Normandy, refused to kiss the foot of the French king Charles III, uttering the phrase bi got, his borrowing of the assumed Old English equivalent of our expression by God. Although this story is almost surely apocryphal [maybe a woman authored this one], it is true that bigot was used by the French as a term of abuse for the Normans, but not in a religious sense. Later, however, the word, or very possibly a homonym, was used abusively in French for the Beguines, members of a Roman Catholic lay sisterhood. From the 15th century on Old French bigot meant "an excessively devoted or hypocritical person." Bigot is first recorded in English in 1598 with the sense "a superstitious hypocrite."
