Cheney is already running the country if you ask me. why not cut out the middle man? impeach Bush and believe me, Cheney will be the weakest president we've ever had. plus, i don't see how they can impeach Bush without impeaching Cheney too.
I was immediately depressed, when I first started reading Bush impeachment articles, when I realized that that would result in a Cheney presidency! 
But I agree with what was said above, Cheney (who had an 18% approval rating a few weeks ago) would be able to do nothing in office, and if the Dems get the House or Senate - he'd be through too!
