If the "artist" is from one of these shake and bake music companies then I'm not in favor of it at all. IE making the band, someones sister/brother riding coattails etc

But if the "artist" is truly a music lover and and inspired by music then I have no problem with it.

Personally speaking only the narrow minded try to reduce music to a color.

When you gonna add Paul Whiteman, Benny Goodman, Elvis Presley, Pat Boone, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Hall and Oates, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, etc.? The list goes on and on and on...

Agreed.

I haven't a problem with White entertainers performing Black styles of music or "Black-sounding" music so long as the music sounds nice. Tina Marie is one my favorite female vocalist. Lady T has done a great job of updating her music without comprising her integrity as an artist. The same can be said about The Diva, Mariah Carey, another one of my favorite female vocalist. So again, as long as the vocalist can sang, I'll support them! When it comes to good music, I don't discriminate. Smile

1. It's rare for anyone to copy and maintain a bad idea.

2. Music is colorless (because all people originated from Africa, all music originates from Africa. They can feel the beat too).

And what Brother Viking? What else do you want me to say? Not that it matters to me, I was just letting Brother Honest know that I already know she has Black in her family. But so does every other White person, but does that make them Black??? Let's not get into that discussion. I like her music and that's all that matters.
