Reading 1,000 books by 1st grade seems kind of strange to me. I wonder what books a 1st grader would get that much from that it would be worth reading 1,000 of.
Computers in cars are mentioned but but having worked for IBM I have seen that computer software can be written such that the users and repairmen don't know much. So why not tell the grade school and high school kids the right books?
