Let's not confuse males with men.

....if you have to have everything YOUR WAY, always
...every concession is a grandiose gesture
...you only ever see women as competitors rather than partners
...you are terrified of a black (or white) alpha female
...you like strong-minded women, until they disagree with you
...you believe your own BS
...you present well, but you're really incredibly insecure

you don't need to raise your voice

you believe in chivalry and act accordingly

Intelligent alpha males are not a bad thing and I think they go perfectly well with intelligent alpha women. Each has a separate domain.

I never get pushed around by anyone...ever.

I almost never raise my voice...

I am very chivalrous...

Yep..and I admire alpha women....Although an alpha woman is an elusive creature...

An alpha woman is very different from an alpha man...An alpha woman leads women not by might, but by demonstrating a keen power over the man...Women flock to her to learn the art of mind control.

An alpha female is dangerous.

A woman who imitates an alpha male is just repulsive to me..I cannot stand a woman who tries to be more of a man than me...

Okay: Alpha Males... As in wolves; as in animals. Human beings are lot more adaptable, more versatile and cooperative than this "Alpha Myth". In my opinion, the whole concept is simply a rationalization for base elitism.

There are many types of leader, boss or sovereign; just as there are many types of society, work-group or situation. Why must we limit ourselves to an arc typical personality?

When no one pisses on the same tree that you do.

Then you can be declared the Alfa male unless you have pissed own your shoes- again.

A Black Alpha Male to me is simply A Black Man that is in the highest position of power and influence in a given setting, group/community.....

This does not speak to his character, ability to rule fairly.... etc...

it simply speaks to his influence.....

and I like to see Black Men ruling.....

hopefully working through this position until they get it right.....

whether in front or behind the scenes.....

someone will be the one that others listen to.... at any given moment....

we need more Black men to be that voice....

and make themselves worthy to be that voice....
and then improve so that their positions are maintained with those by whom they are admired....

I agree with Frenchy's contrast between the Negative and the Positive Alpha Male. What Frenchy described is a Positive intelligent Alpha Male. What Firefly described is a Negative egotistical Alpha Male. The latter is what gives men bad names, the former (Intelligent Positive Alpha Males) are what the world needs more of today. Unfortunately, Positive Alpha Males are considered "Beta Males" in today's Social Darwinistic society. I consider myself a positive Alpha Male and I consider myself much stronger than any egotistical "alpha male" who I consider to be weak men trying to cover up their weakness by fronting.


There's a difference between being assertive and being egotistical. I like Alpha Females, I agree with Kai's characterization of them. I absolutely LOVE THEM.
