I've not been to Africa yet but it's on my bucket list so to speak. Of course Ghana tops the list but I have couple friends in Sierra Leone who describe the conditions in such a way that make me think entrepreneurs interested in medical services, farming, education and telecommunications could probably dominate there. However Ebola is currently a big big problem. Even getting water and electricity reliably distributed might present business opportunities. Still an obstacle might be understanding cultural and legal issues.

With all that said, I think more and more of returning to my home state in the deep south. The south has mild climate, plenty of land, significant black populations and plenty of areas where a black entrepreneur might do well and also be able to offer jobs to other blacks. Certain experiences I've had over the past few years make me keenly aware that I need to work for myself.  That is my goal even if it starts only as a side thing. It must be done.

“Harvard University’s affirmative action policies, which the school says are aimed at achieving diversity on the vaunted campus of Cambridge, discriminate against Asians who often can’t get in despite having higher test scores and grade-point averages than Black students who are accepted, according to a lawsuit filed Monday.”

Wow! Well, it’s a hard case and the Asians have point. They rock those SAT scores and devour math and hard sciences like candy. Something Negroes can’t do. The UC system in California is extremely competitive and you have to have near perfect SAT scores to get in. ALL THESE SCHOOLS ARE DOMINATED WITH ASIAN AMERICAN STUDENTS.

I visited three separate campuses and it looked like I was in Hong Kong or Singapore! Even whites find it difficult to compete with them. One white engineering student said UCLA stood for University of Caucasians Lost among Asians! Another quipped, “If you walk into a class filled with Asians –you know you are in trouble! A black friend of mine has a daughter who attended UCSD (San Diego) and she was a premed student. She said she had to study extremely hard in order to compete and hang with the herd because of the Asians. Do you think Negro students have such a reputation? Ha! Go figure….
