There is a feminist movement in the Middle East, including Egypt. Nawal El Sadawi is one of my favorite, whom I've had the pleasure of meeting on at least two occasions. Not only is she Egyptian and a feminist, she is a proud African/Black woman.
I am wondering, however, why the spate of threads on the Arab community Charisma?
