agree or disagree?

has anyone noticed how whites, and many other races, are being pounded subconsciously by the media, (ie the trailer for Hot Shots (movie with John Travolta, Christina Milian, The Rock, Vince Vaughn), where Christina Milian says that Vince Vaughn's character "thinks he's black", and we then see his character using horrible english and acting like he has no sense), by the image of blacks being a people content in their ignorance, and animalistic in agression and ruthlessness.

in my humble opinion, hip-hop has become a minstrel show of the new millenium

it's very disturbing that our people have lost control of what used to be one of our greatest forms of expression and representation to the world. Whites account for the vast majority of Hip-Hop records sales, so, essentially, they're "electing" our representatives to society. (i realize that we have other representatives, but i would argue that no other representation is as evident and persistent in the media as this)

i find this extremely dangerous. this misresentation of our people has a HUMUNGOUS audience.

oh yea, this is my first post, i'm a little bit excited that i've found somewhere to talk seriously about our issues, so sorry for any run-ons or additional grammar errors. educate me. *sits back in chair* (oh yeah, i'm a black teenager)
