Trust me, I started to listen to Rush in 1993 because of what I saw on 60 Minutes. I don't know who said it, but it was a black female said that Rush was racist therefore I had to listen to verify. And for the first six months, I listened to why President Clinton proposing to raise taxes on the middle class and taking money from school children who were having bake sales to lower the national debt. No racism, only criticism.

this truly is a curiousity. (I'll answer my experience of the original question later). A friend left Sydney and went to live in New York for 4 years. 4 yrs=length of visa, ok? She meets a guy, they fall in love, move in together, blah, blah. One month before she has to come home - visa is running out - he says 'oh, but can't you stay?' Hum, no. Like, so where are we heading? Not much to say from him. He'd forgotten about the V-I-S-A...or what? Reality time!! She leaves the USA, comes home...

I agree with you, art_gurl. I think this is mainly the way it happens with guys. I sometimes wonder how the result would be different if maybe we told them what was happening to them in time to have it be a meaningful part of the relationship! lol However, I'm not sure many of them would be able to take the shock! I actually find that kind of naiveness (is that a word?) about men kinda cute and endearing, though. Kind of like seeing the eyes of the kid who gets their first new bike on...

Fine, this whole incident w/ the duke university lacrosse team and the stereotypes of bw proves the point that i've been trying to get my friends to see. maybe it's an age thing but most of the black girls i associate with do not find these images of themselves disrespectful at all and actually seem to relish in them and when i try to get them to see my point of view on what it's doing to the image of many bw they tell me to lighten up and that that every woman is portrayed in a sexual way...

I think they are all pretty good, but I don't classify any of them up with Denzel since he can carry a Movie. Samuel L, and Lawrence are close but you want find neither of them as the leading Man in a Top Movie, nor will you find Morgan even though he's older, he does have a good body of work in supporting Roles. So far though, they can only positively identify one of them, since his DNA matched the DNA evidence found underneath the victim's false nails. And unless she was wearing those cheap press-on nails, anyone who has ever gotten a french manicure with false tips knows just how incredibly hard it is to get those things off without a professional manicurist!
