As I said, I think the issue is really what one deems or can make a case for relevance. For example, why are books on Linux more relevant than say Souls of Black Folk by WEB Du Bois. Why is Dancing Wu Li Masters more relevant than Toni Morrison's Beloved or Michel Foucaults Order of Things . I would have removed much of the science fiction and the electronic texts and included more historical (African Diasporic as well as European) and sociological, philosophical, and anthropological texts...

It would be another 5 years before Henry Ford introduced the Model T. Do you have any idea how much that changed the American way of life? Du Bois was born in 1868. IN DEATH…. In my 41 years on this earth, there have only been two times that I was truly afraid of dying. The first was in 1999 when I learned of the death of James Byrd Jr. in Jasper, Texas. The second time was in 2017 when my friend Anh died in a plane crash. These moments are significant for me – Byrd’s horrible murder told me how much America hates the Black man. Anh’s death hit me hard because this was someone who was going after her goals and taken from us too quickly. These two...

In the past year, at least 10,000 Portuguese people have moved to Angola and Mozambique. Portugal has been hit hard by Europe's economic crisis, with its economy continuing to shrink and unemployment still rising. Tens of thousands of Portuguese have been forced to leave their country to seek a brighter future, and an increasing number are applying for visas to former colonies such as Angola, Mozambique and Brazil.
