The difference between weather and climate is a change in the probabilities. Under one set of climatic conditions the probability of a storm of a certain severity might be 5 times in 100 years. Under different climatic conditions 20 times in 100 years. But there would also be changes in other probabilities like record hot springs and summers. Capitalism may be used as a rationalization for exploitation but it is not inferent to the economic philosophy. Before 1900 there were almost no automobiles.
