I'm starting to wish Dean had not accepted the job as Head of the National Democratic Committee because now he has to walk on eggshells and speak on behalf of the party. He should have declined the job and put in another run for the presidency. Then, we would hear his own personal views. As of now, he has to be careful about giving his own views as opposed to the Party's view. We already know the Democrats in Washington have yet to grow a spine and speak out against anything for fear of...

Okay, MBM, maybe we're getting somewhere! For my position, let me state unequivocally, that I am not in the least bit interested in assigning blame. I couldn't care less whose "fault" it is. And I do mean less . Assigning blame for this problem doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of a solution to it. So you point the finger at a bad guy ... and then what?? What I do care about, though, is that for every ancestor of which I am a descendant, whose same bloodline flows within me that were...

Some of you know that this is a pet project of mine, so you know I had to jump right into it. I really appreciated the concept of the cradle to prison super-highway (CPS), but there was one aspect of it that I wish had been addressed. Black folks have to get out there and serve on juries. For time out of mind, Black folks were not allowed to sit on juries, and Black folks accused of crimes were tried by all white juries. Of course, Africans throughout the Diaspora do not share ALL of the same values, codes, or moral principles. As this conversation continues, maybe we should spend some time, if possible, agreeing to terms and definitions because as it stands, I need to know exactly how you would define homegenous. Be that as it may, I would argue that pure homogeneity is not needed throughout the African collective for Pan Africanism to be realized. That is to say, an agenda could be practical once we begin...

For example, what is stopping grassroots organizers from creating community insurance coops? As you all know the bigger the pool of the insured, the lower the cost, if you can manage to create a coop of 10,000 to 20,000 individuals you bring insurance cost now into the afforable realm. If you attached to that a non-profit organization that was grant funding to subsidize premiums by those who can't even afford the basic premium then you create opportunities to as a community reduce the rate...
