As it stands, Bush would be closer to fascism, and Kerry closer to socialism- neither of these systems respect individual rights (especially property) over the state. I completely agree with you VOX, but I also think that the majority of the Amerikkkan populous will wait until fascism is in full swing and then pretend they didn't see it coming, rather than honestly have this discussion. Like me point out just a few differences: The federal government was established to serve, by duty and obligation, the needs of the people; It's representatives are elected by the people; and, It's structure is established with internal check & balances, so that one branch doesn't rule the other 2.
