I think we're just looking at the issue a bit differently. I don't see the events and the people of our past as qualitatively different enough phenomena to say that the people were meant to be without the events also being meant to be. Take your example about the billions of sperm. Yes, the chance of the one particular child that was conceived was one in how many billion, but the fact is, that child actually IS one in how many billion. The bottom line is that ONE sperm did fertilize the egg.

The answers you quoted were answers to two different questions.... Isreal is reacting to the bombing of a bus a few days ago, in which one of the terrorist groups claimed responsibility. Isreal supposedly attacked a camp of said terrorist group. They didn't attack this camp until they were provoked by the bombing....Usually, they don't attack until the Palestinians attack. If that person blows themselves up, it is indeed difficult to exact revenge on them! However, if someone attacks me, I don't go to their house and attack their brother. I am homeschooling my 5-year old and I am contemplating homeschooling him through at least the second grade, maybe even longer. But I think what I want is to homeschool him until I can place him in a private school that is an actual school for children and not a business or no more than a re-eduction camp and behavior modification centers that are really intolerant of adolescent behavior, like what the public school system has become.

I like to think of myself as someone who reads and seeks out new information, and I'm not aware of anything in the relatively mainstream African American press.
