hmmmmmmmmm, I went back to CBS to secure more photos and stories, given that I know there are plenty that I did not secure, but they are gone, I checked under CBS search and can't get any. I guess this is their way of telling us it's time to forget. Well at least the hot links are still active (for now -- expect to see red Xs in the near future). Brother Tha Watcher, the reason why people can't quit the military is because they have a contract, not because of their love for the service.

The interesting thing is that there are a lot of Special Forces units that are mostly all White now. The author of Black Hawk Down is aware of the problem with these "elite, superior, special forces": they are all white. But he doesn't deal with what that elite whiteness means, or where it leads. The American elite forces couldn't perform their central role in Somalia – to protect the oil business – because they were white racists, untrained and unable to relate to a humanitarian mission in...

(Black Hawk Down anyone?) I guess those stupid Somali people can kick imperialist ass when they want too. Too bad they(the warlords) are using the weaponry on their own folks... Pat Tillman, Our Hero Dave Zirin "I don't believe it," seethed Ann Coulter. Her contempt was directed at a September 25 San Francisco Chronicle story reporting that former NFL star and Army Ranger war hero Pat Tillman, who was killed in Afghanistan last year, believed the US war on Iraq was "f***ing illegal" and counted Noam Chomsky among his favorite authors. It must have been quite a moment for Coulter, who upon Tillman's death described him in her inimitably creepy fashion as "an American...

About Reparations Bring Reparations For Christmas 7/31/02 America is the undisputed king in a world that values violence in the form of nuclear bombs, war and bloodshed. America's past and present notifies and signifies the high value Americans at-large place on their ability to bring violence and death upon anybody anywhere at anytime. Thus, any peoples or nations wronged by America will likely have to resort to violence to right the wrong. If the wronged party is unable to bring levels of...

Agreed. While I respect her professional accomplishments I personally do not share her political views. But whether you like her or not, the woman has gone down in the history books as the first. At the end of the day that's what really matters regardless of all her education, her lineage, who she knows, etc. Her integrity and that's why her rep is shot down...

Rice and Powell are two totally different people. Comparing them is misleading and pointless. Colin Powell never fit in with the rest of the War Hawk Society (Rumsfeld, Tenet, Wolfowitz, Rice, Cheney, et al). He was the odd man out from the very beginning. But since he had a working relationship with Bush 41, he believed he could make a difference.
