After the final destruction of Jerusalem and Judea by the Romans in 135 AD, the Jerusalem church was taken over by non-Jews. From this destruction, Eusebius says: "In this way the city was closed to the Jewish Race and suffered the total destruction of its former inhabitants, it was colonized by an alien race, and the Roman city which subsequently arose changed its name in honor of the emperor then reigning" (S., Acharya 37-8). You have any proof that this is what she meant? I opined as you did that if she was talking about the Congress relationship with the masses of men and women in America as one of Slave and Master than she is not that far from the truth albeit the analogy still pales in comparison to what our ancestors lived through and that legacy should not be disrespected by equating it with realities far less inhumane.

Cautious about this series. It talks about the slave but not the slave master, what he or she was involved in. Those companies that seem to be the high talk HERE on africanamerica.org for REPARATIONS, etc. If I am a slave I want to know all I can about the habits of my master since I am obliged to serve him or her in mind, BODY [which this series website is all about in my opinion] and definitely not my soul. Yes, I have seen Dogville, Nicole Kidman was very good in this. Von triers attempt to twist the hegelian 'slave-master; dynamic is weirdly entertaining. His use of 'rape' as the methodology for the transformation of an independent consciousness, into a(n) dependent/interdependent consciousness is, different, But is'nt that what happened to the African, the rape of one people, powerfully and completely by another?

I agree. I think both Mr. B and Cornell West rushed to pigeon-hole Farrakhan's comments which, while I thought they were a bit out of place, I didn't see them as substantively that far from the core attitude behind the Convenant Movement.
