One of my favorite quotes from a movie comes from the film "Inherit the Wind". It's a fictionalized account of the Scopes Trial and Spencer Tracy plays the defense lawyer. At one point during the trial he's reprimanded by the judge for using salty language and he says something like "As poor a means of communication as the English language is, I believe we ought to use every damned word we have."
