I'm a Taoist as well. Some wise man whose name I can't recall said "It's the how of living that matters, not the how long." That being said, my own death doesn't scare me. What scares me is losing one of my loved ones before I'm ready to lose them. I don't think we miss the world when we die, but there is a good chance that the world misses us. As far as my passing, I could care less when I die, so long as I die well. Another wise man whose name I can't remember said "There are only two ways...

Women only say they're "looking for a friend" at first so as to not scare a man off. Halloween is not the Devil's Holiday. It a European pagan holiday marking a day when spirits are allowed/able to make contact with this world and a celebration of the harvest. The masks, etc were to scare evil spirits away and protect the community. It was brought over to this country by Christian missionaries. Somewhere along the way anything pagan came to mean "Satanic," but that's not accurate.
