Diddy ranks no. 1 on Forbes’ list of hip-hop’s richest by Lilly Workneh | April 1, 2013 at 5:27 PM Diddy tops this year’s Forbes’ list of hip-hop’s wealthiest artists — and is joined by some of the genre’s other big cash kings. The Bad Boy Records founder, formerly known as Puff Daddy (among a myriad of other aliases), has been involved in the music industry since 1993. Yet, Diddy’s...

About time! Will it work? I dunno. It's gonna take a personal hand in this....like the mothers of rappers putting their foot down. And baby mamas not allowing that in their houses around their children....and not buying the songs or going to concerts. And demonstrating in front of venues that promote this type of thing. First...it has to be visual. And then off to the radio stations and use that platform to discuss why it is degrading black people. We have to have a conversation about it...

And you're right sista Norland...no one is forcing anyone to buy this music....but! Kids nowadays DON'T KNOW WHAT TRUE MUSIC IS. Rap is nothing more than beats on a machine with a microphone used for background of self-hating posturing about black life. And when you are born in that messy noise? You are convinced that it is music. You look around and massa is giving out image awards and trophies to black idiots who put it out on recordings that their mothers are whores and fathers are pimps...

Signed the petition. It's about time this issue has become more mainstreamed. However, I doubt Blacks boycotting rappers who degrade Blacks, in general, and Black women, in particular, in their 'music' will help much. Why? Although the majority of rappers who make this so-called music are black, the main consumers of this so-called music are white males of a specific age group. There was an article about this a couple of years ago. I'll have to dig it up or you can look it up. If we want to...
