This is why it is imperative to stay in tune with your congress. Be all up in the business. Cuz I knew this was next cuz they never eradicated during both Bush, Jr and Obama's presidencies. This has been on the table for a long time. Well...while West and Smiley were screaming about Obama, they were tip toeing behind our backs leaving this at bey until the right time. It would be wonderful if Black people realized that there was non-violent face to the Civil Rights movement as well as a self-defense/armed side also. The way that the white media has spun as if there was some sort of opposing view between the two and that the non-violent philosophy is far superior. When in fact they worked hand in hand for what they felt would be black liberation and to get white people off our backs.

Yeah, well .... that's all well and good .... but the fact that ALEC is returning its focus to "economic interests" is not a good thing, either!! That simply means that they will be funneling even MORE money into buying and selling politicians, corrupting the legislative process, and bribing their way into even harsher economic policies that financially harm the rest of us.

Last Thursday, Michigan legislators passed one of the most anti-worker pieces of legislation the state has ever seen — a so-called Right to Work bill. It jeopardizes the livelihoods of working families throughout the state, particularly families of color. After the legislature meets for a final vote, Governor Rick Snyder will decide this week whether to sign the bill into law. We need you to stand with our brothers and sisters in Michigan by urging the Governor to veto the legislation.

Six Republicans once again joined all the Democrats to vote no. 2. The Michigan House also passed SB 116 , which is the Senate version of “right to work” for private sector workers. The vote was 58-52. If the same vote had happened in January 2013 with the new legislature, assuming all incoming...

How about a mini-tank the size of a lawn tractor with a machine gun instead of a cannon. Program it to kill anything the size and shape of a human within certain GPS coordinates. It would make more sense than a mine field to a certain extent. It could be removed and not kill and mame children years after the war is over. The trouble with technology is that it makes...

Many of the states that have these laws against "felons" voting, it is often only while they are serving time or are on probation or parole .
