My point was that the doctrine of Immaculate Conception has to do with Mary being born with out original sin in order that Jesus would also be absolved of this "stain". Many people, however, confuse it with doctrine of the virgin birth. Further, lineage is not compromised given that Mary is a descendant of David, a relationship that she then shares with her son.

Delaney in the 1860s, and Thomas Morris Chester in the 1880s seemed to drive the move to separatism in the 19th century. I'm sure there were others.
