No, I didn't write it. But does kinda look like 'my stuff'. Right? Out of curiosity, and with it being the MLK Holiday, I thought I would post this piece without credits. This piece is the seminal resolution of the Free African Society Convention of 1817 held in Philadelphia at Bethel A.M.E. Church. The convention and its resulting resolution was in repudiation of the American Colonization Movement to deport African American-Americans. It is the seminal document to the foundation of African...

Lofton, Face it. Merv Dymally is not an illegal immigrant, or he would be in jail now for serving illegally in the US Congress. Do you really think that the power structure in this country would overlook that little detail? You're as wrong about him being an illegal immigrant as you were about Shirly Chisolm being an illegal immigrant. The only reason that you backed off of your claim about Shirly Chisolm is because somebody produced a bio on the internet showing that she was born in Boston...

Re: A possible solution 2 our illegal immigrant problem..

First thing that needs to happen to get a handle on the illegal immigration problem is to secure our borders. Next, is to deport those illegal immigrants who are here to prey on society, more than 30 percent of illegal aliens populate our prison systems. And also those are who is actually an asset to our society need some type of legal status that leads to citizenship if they desire. I think the National Guard can back up the Border Patrol and there is a proposal to put 36 thousand National...

I would sleep better at night knowing that we deport all these savages back to their Middle Eastern dictatorships. It is an interesting article. *sigh* If the USA controlled immigration from Mexico, Asia and Europe, public assistance would go to citizens and legal immigrants. Some of you point out that our people are needing more public assistance but you don't have a word to say about immigrants who are drying up the public money. The amount of immigrants allowed in the country should be in proportion to what public assitance can handle without denying citizen needs. The answer is not Euro style...

I think I read where they only utlize about 2-5% of the overall budget. Their consumerism helps also, because it fuels demand which allows production...and that is where job creation falls in....that is the key to the economy, not tax cuts....rich people have money already.....if they are not spending now....they'll just add the tax cut amount to what they already...

Illegal immigrants are bankrupting our hospitals Daniel J. Popeo Jul 29, 2008 11:18 AM Hard-working Americans, many of whom are our uninsured working poor, are paying billions in taxes for illegal immigrants' medical care. Thanks to the federal government's lax border enforcement, more than 12 million illegal aliens residing in the United States are bankrupting our hospitals. It amazes me that you would complain about a problem, yet seemingly throw up your arms in defeat and refuse to attack the source of the problem. Let's say we deport 100% of the illegal (and legal) Mexicans in America today. According to you (and I agree), companies will merely move on to the next form of exploitation. Black folks will get screwed again. Addressing the problem would seem to be the only way to gain some measure of progress on it. Surely, attacking another victim of American...

You illustrate my point perfectly. You get animated about a poor Mexican immigrant breaking the law yet apparently give a free pass to the government not enforcing the immigration laws that we have on the books and by American companies breaking the law to hire these folks. Moreover, without these two - the government facilitating businesses breaking the law and companies hiring them illegally - THERE WOULD BE NO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PROBLEM!
